We’re having our wedding at Bykenhulle House Bed & Breakfast in Hopewell Junction. It’s a gorgeous 18th century mansion with a newly built ballroom extension, six acres of gardens for the ceremony, honeymoon suite and completely private–no other people will be on the premises and we have the entire venue to ourselves for the night.

What kind of venue are you looking for?  Indoor or outside?  Day or Night?  I am asking cause I have a bunch of places that I would love to look at more but what we want to do makes it a little difficult especially when on a tight budget.(outdoor sunset ceremony/reception perferable by the water).

Outside –

1. Inn on the Lake – Canandaigua

2. Belhurst Castle – Geneva

3. Bristol Harbour – Canandaigua

Inside –

1. Double Tree (E Henrietta/Jefferson) – They have an atrium inside and also large banquet rooms.  I use to work there years ago and they always did a great job when they were the Holiday Inn.

2. Marriott (Greece) – I’ve been there for a few Christmas parties and food was great and they were very professional.  Plush the rooms were nice.

3. Casa Larga Vineyards – OMG…gorgeous!

Let me know and I can definitly throw more ideas your way.  Good Luck!

Stayed at the Inn On The Lake in Canandaigua a month or so ago… It was gorgeous!  I can’t wait to go back.

hey! you should look at the pumpelly house in owego (about 20 min from binghamton) its right on the susquehanna river and its gorgeous. also, there are a lot of wineries, like heron hill or glenora. Glenora is beautiful, right on the lake and has an inn where your guests can stay, though its pretty pricey.

Mendon Ponds Park Cobblestone House…but that would be way too small for 200!

Canandaigua Inn on the Lake came to mind first. Bristol Mtn. isn’t only for skiing, we’ve had friends married there in the summer. Have you considered Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua? You might also look into all the bed and breakfasts in the area and the vineyards that our area is famous for as well.

We got married at Knapp Vineyards and had a great time!  They treated us well, were reasonably priced, and all our friends/family are still talking about how much fun they had.   Pm me if you are interested in more information or pictures.

We’re getting married at the White House in Webster right on Lake Ontario. We looked at Sweet Briar, a bed and breakfast in Geneseo, but it was a bit out of our price range. Very beautiful though!

Another to look at would be Wagner Vineyards.  They would have been our second choice but they have a 125 min for a saturday event (no min for Friday or Sunday).
