our budget was $25K but we ended up at closer to $35K or $40K.  my parents paid and in the end they felt some things were worth spending more on so they let the budget go over.  i'm so thankful for their generosity!  even tho that's a pretty average price tag we only had 160 guests so it was able to go far.

I don't have a budget per se, but I'd like to hover around 25k.

I was aiming to have the wedding cost $15k, but in the end we ended up at $23k. It wasn't so much that we went over (although, there were some things that we went over on), as I didn't have a realistic idea of what things were going to cost.

I've put about $2500 into it so far, but I would like to stick to around $5000.00 and I absolutely believe I can do it :) I got a great deal on a venue and my dress was paid for when we first got engaged almost 2 years ago!

We're budgeting with $10k as our absolute highest limit. We will probably hit right around $8k. That includes wedding rings but does not include the honeymoon.

probably going to end up around 35k. It's hard to say because we're doing a combination of DIY and vendors. Our venue is 26k, which includes all the food and drink.

Absolutely no more than 10k.  I wanted it to be more like 5k, but fiance wanted a bigger wedding so the costs are going up.  I'd like it to come in more like 8k.  Hopefully we will be able to manage that.

I want to keep it under $5000.  My parents are paying for the Reception so that will keep costs low. I am planning alot of DIY projects to keep things down and we're having a cocktail reception which will lower our decor numbers as we have no need for big huge centrepieces, escort cards, etc.  We are inviting 175-200 people.

About $6000 not including rings. My parents keep buying little extra things here and there so it may be a little more by now.

Our goal was $5,000, with about 80 guests.  We haven't done the exact number-crunching, and honestly, at this point, I don't care to, but I figure we came in pretty close.  :-)

We're looking at 3k not including my e-ring. We both have entry-level jobs + some freelancing work (me=freelance interpreter/stage manager and him=freelance web designer) and a lot of student loan debt. Paying everything in cash without help from our parents.

I can't wait to start planning! I have so many DIY ideas and I can't wait to implement them!

Our ceremony/reception budget is $3500 (minus my dress, rings, and honeymoon). We're doing a Sunday wedding to cut back on costs and only inviting about 75 people with a lunch reception afterwards. We're broke graduate students so we are going to do what we can with our tiny incomes!

    @Kemi82JP:  Did you recap?

We did ~75 people for around 30K, but I never dared to really add it all up.  It was a DW, and we did a "reception" in lieu of a limited rehearsal dinner for everyone on Friday as well as the full she-bang on Saturday.  This figure includes dress, etc.

My budget is $10,000 not including travel and accomodation for my destination wedding.  The quote is coming in around $8000 right now, but that doesn't include extra expenses like hair and makeup and favors so I think I should be right on.  I hope!

Total worth is around 40,000 bucks... we are coming in right at 26,000 with savings (coupons, waiting on things to go on sale, promo codes online). That is not including honeymoon....and engagement ring. That is for about 115 guests. My parents are not helping Frown

We originally said 10K, that was before we realized how much everything costs.  So we bumped it up to 15K but I think we're going to end up closer to 20K.

We are budgeted for $11,500.  So far we are coming under but we are DIY-ing practically everything. We found an amazing caterer for cheap, but the food is amazing.  Our venue gave us a deep discount for having our wedding on a Monday, and we have a couple of items, like the cake, being donated for advertising in the program and at the reception.  Our hoped "final" guest list will likely be right around 150 people.  SO I think we are doing pretty good so far.

I always enjoy reading posts like this. I think wedding budget is totally regional. Up here in the Northeast/NY, weddings begin at 25k. But I know my FBIL's wedding in the Chicago suburbs cost less than 10k. It's fun to see the differences.

We were at $1,000 until FI wanted really nice wedding bands that ran us up another grand.

Edit: This is all-inclusive. Reception, ceremony, dress, rings

    $5000

Honestly, one of things that convinced me that a much higher budget really wasn't worth it was the show 4 Weddings. Once you get past about 10 thousand it really doesn't seem to make much difference.

There are brides on that show who spend $100,000 and have cold food, nobody dancing, ceremonies where no one can hear, venues with noisy tourists all around, etc. So to me, if you can spend that much money and still have so many things go wrong, it's really not worth it. The cheaper weddings are always the ones I like best on that show--they always seem more personal, fun, and relaxed.

@kala_way:  I guess it depends where you live.  For $10K I would have had a hard time finding a place to give my guests PB&J.

And, re: 4 weddings, I've seen brides on that show spend big money any really have it all go right too.  Good taste shows through on any budget.

Wedding is $23 K. Honeymoon + Rehearsal bring it up to $26.

My budget is funny. It started at $12. Moved to $15.. then it moved to whatever we wanted / whatever we could afford comfortably. We found ourselves wanted things outside the budget, and the fiance kept saying.. well we CAN afford it, so just pick what you want.

Venue (Food, Drinks, Ceremony) is 55% of the entire budget with honeymoon and rehearsal included.

My budget includes everything. Including things that were gifted like a wedding dress and invitations.

And while this is more pricey compared to a lot of other budgets, this was the best value deal for a beach front wedding hotel in my area. This is mainly what caused the change in budget.
