Trial is this weekend, so no pics yet....but I'll be wearing it all up.
I'd love to wear it all down, but I'm so afraid the curls won't hold! Such is the life with stick-straight hair...
I wanted to go with half up half down, but with how unpredictable the weather can be, I'd rather be safe than droopy.
I had my hair all down and curled. I look pretty horrific with my hair up, lol.
Miss Pinot Grigio, I SO feel you on that one. That's my number one concern with my wedding hair. It just won't hold a curl! Gah.
The plan right now is to try to pull of an all-down wavy/curly look. But since curls don't stay in my hair for anything, not sure. My hair trial's next Fri, so I'll post some pics to let you see how it goes!
I am so excited for my wedding hair trial! I am not totally sure what I want to do with my hair for my big day, but I think I am pretty sure I want to do half up half down!
i wish i could do an all down hairstyle, but my hair would be totally flat by the time the reception started. so it's an all up style for me.
planning to have it half up, half down. hoping that the down part of the hair stays curly the entire night
egad! I also look aweful with my hair all up, so I'm trying to decide if I want all down or half up and half down! But I'm also having a summer wedding so it will probably be humid here in New England so I'm not sure!
I wear my hair all up all the time, and I think it looks all right, but in pictures I feel like it looks greasy. Not the look I'm going for on the wedding day. I'm going to try for a half-up hair style, with really big curls in the part that's down. I actually have my hair trial this afternoon and I'm soooo excited!
krgk84! Thats a cute hair-do!!! Post pictures after you have it done on you!! Its such a classy look!
I have really short hair right now. I got a pixie cut in December. By the time I get married, I'll probably have this type of hairstyle.

Even though I've had long hair my whole life, I'm excited to be a 'short hair bride' - I look better with it short!
marquisemiss! I love it!! Are you going to have highlights like mrs. beckham?
I like mine half up half down. I did an updo for my bridal and like it but I think I look better with half up half down hair.I made a hair piece with feathers so I'll use that on one side and some orchids around the other side.
I think I have finally decided! I think I am going to go for a look like this!
I will probably have it all up, it just makes it easier for me!My hair is almost at shoulder length right now.
I love love, elegant updo's, and I had one done a few years ago that I absolutly loved but my hair is much shorter now and it would be difficult to replicate! Here are 2 pictures from different angles:
So, to replicate a similar style I found something great! Jon Renau makes formal hair pieces that I think are beautiful! I ordered one to look at the color earlier this week, I hope it matches! I think it will be great because I've worn hair pieces and are comfortable with them and these arn't too fake looking or have too much hair. So I think they would look believable to people who didnt know. They're around $40 but I found a couple on ebay or through online wig stores for around $25

I'll let you know how it goes when I get it in the mail!
WoW! I'm loving everyones pictures!!!![]()
kayfi! I just save the pictures to my desktop then use the "upload files from your computer" feature that is below this comment box. They will automatically appear!
I am wearing a mantilla veil so I want my hair low but off of my neck, only becuase I overheat!! So making sure that my hair is not all in my face and neck is important to me. Please my veil and gown is what I want to show off, so keeping my hair simple is important
I had two unsuccessful hair trials before switching hair dressers completely and begging my new stylist just make me look beautiful! She whipped up my curls in an uber romantic updo. I even snagged a spare boutonniere after the ceremony and pinned a gardenia in my hair for the reception. I couldn't have planned (or not planned) it any better.
I want to go with a 1950s glam look, I've never worn my hair like this so we'll see if I change my mind as it gets closer to the wedding.
@msBlossom - that was my inspiration photo too!!
vixie13 - I love that hair style!! It's beautiful!! I think I might save and steal it to use too! ![]()
Mine will be all down, like this:
I also love this dress. :) I'm going to Orlando this weekend, which is the same time of year I'll be married, next year, so we'll see if it's too hot for me to wear my hair down!
To the stick straight hair girls like me:
Don't worry so much about your hair not holding curl. My hair (when I use my own products) will not even hold a curl if you leave the curlers in it! But I was a BM two summers ago in the middle of hot humid July and my hair stayed curly in a half up half down do. We even got our hair done at like 6 am and it was still curly at midnight. It was extremely stiff in the morning but by the time it came for the ceremony and photos it was soft and still lovely. I still kick myself for not asking to steal that hair spray!![]()
Well, I'm going to copy what a friend of mine did, hence the blacked out face. She had her hair up and large and curled, then unpinned it for the reception! Voila, best of both worlds. I want a cleaner look than the model has. Her messy look isn't for me. This way it's up and you can see all the beading on the back of my dress and it's elegant, but it's more laid back for the dancing and everything. Seeing as how my fiance's sister is a hairstylist, I'm hoping this isn't an issue! I'm also rocking this tiara I made.
I'm thinking half up, half down. Something soft and romantic. Maybe something along the lines of the Taylor Swift photo that hisMrs posted above.
Let me just say that this post is extremely helpful. I went to Florida to go ceremony-site-scouting with my FI and it was HOT. Too hot for my hair to be down and me not to be dripping sweat by the time I am officially a Mrs.! So these pictures have definitely given me something to think about. :) Thanks ladies!
I'm thinking of attempting a half up/half down do, but after everything that's already been said, I'm wondering if I'll be too hot to have it on my neck all day. Thanks for the advice!
