I’ve always been a fan of wedding themed weddings!

@Nona99:  I’d second that. Our theme was “sh1t we like”. I suppose that sort of makes it “eclectic” as there were Scottish, Jewish, glam, chilled, formal, modern and vintage elements.

Our theme is “wedding”. I really dislike themed weddings. We’ll be having a traditional Catholic ceremony at the church, everything typical exept maybe the music.

We are huge foodies and are hoping to have the reception at our favorite tapas restaurant in town. It’s a fabulous venue and the best food ever. No dancing or anything, just dinner and drinks.

Maybe our theme is “low key”, lol.

I love themed weddings! I have a friend doing a carnival or 1940s themed wedding (he hasn’t decided yet).

I’m having a destination wedding. But I’m not doing the theme of beach, starfish or whatever beachy thing. It’ll be modern and chic and my colors are navy blue and blush pink with touches of ivory. I guess this isn’t exactly a theme but rather, a style ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s pretty traditional because we have a few tradional elements however, it is also DIY and eclectic and a little rustic as well.  We’re not getting married in a church, lots of diy, rustic type lodge, our own musis in the ceremony, etc.  But I am wearing the ball gown princess type dress, we will have the traditional dances, and cake cutting, etc. My theme is simple elegance “two hearts as one”.  Just a fun day we hope.

I voted “other” because ours is a mix of traditional and offbeat I guess you could say.

I’m not a fan of overly themed weddings, but we are going to have penguin references running throughout (both the animal and the Pittsburgh hockey team). The penguins will be subtle touches, though, nothing over the top and in your face.

Our colors will be blue, white, and silver as a nod to the Penguins’ original jersey colors from the 1960’s.

We will have traditional elements — parents walking me down the aisle, bridal party, cake cutting, first dance, garter/bouqet toss. But we are getting married in a theater, not a church. And I don’t want everything to be all stuffy and formal, just fun. The “style” is clean, simple, and soft.

I’d say ours was traditional and we didn’t have a theme. When picking details for the wedding, I tried to pick things that won’t make me cringe in 15 years when I look at pictures.

We had a loose theme of “eat, drink, and be married” because, well, we were all about having really amazing food and drinks at the wedding. We wanted the reception to be a really elegant dinner party, complete with wine and beer pairings for each course, and for everything to feel really cozy and warm.

I’d say ours is traditional except for the fact that there will be no religious ceremony.  We have a lot of traditional elements but it will not be in a church and it’s not religious.

Theme (I guess…they will be there, but it is not over the top) is lovebirds because that is what we call each other.

our theme is “us.” we both grew up in the country in the same small town so our theme is a mix of traditional and rustic.

Our “theme” was my screenname– East meets barn!  We were married at a farmhouse that has a gorgeous barn.  We decorated with Eastern style decor elements- Moroccan lantern centerpieces, Asian paper lanterns and parasols hanging from the barn ceiling, Asian style fans handed out with the programs (which was good, because it was 90 and humid).  It wasn’t over the top or too obvious, I think.  It looked nice without looking like a cheesy Chinese or Indian restaurant (DH’s fear given how I like to decorate our home ๐Ÿ™‚
