What are your guests doing between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of cocktail hour? Are you expecting every guest to be in posed photos? If not, I would suggest going straight to cocktail hour and making it longer to accommodate all the photos.

As to when the ceremony should start and end, I think that also depends on your guest list. Are they late night partiers? Are there a lot of out-of-town guests that have a long drive home? I just checked the date…is your wedding on a Friday? If so, are you expecting a lot of your guests to take off the day/leave early from work?

Are you wanting to be there for cocktail hour? If not, photo time looks okay.


I’d say:

5-6pm eating

6-630 toasts and such

645 ish – cut cake

7-730 – first dance, grou dance (if doing one), flower/garter toss

730-10 – boogie on down!
