I’m the grasshopper and he’s the ant. I shit you not, we got into an argument over produce last night. He said if I’m cooking yet another vegetable he’s never heard of this evening he’s spending the night at his parents’.

gemchick82:  Had to look that one up. I guess I’d be more grasshopper-y than my hubby. He’s a “get ‘er done” type and I’ve let lots and lots of bananas go to waste.

I died laughing on that one, Aquaria: !! Going to his parents… hahahahahahahaha!

gemchick82:  I threatened him with a decorative turban squash. He didn’t appreciate the gesture.

We definitely have a grasshopper and ant relationship but I am the grasshopper. Luckily, my FI is into experimentation in the kitchen, but career-wise I am often boggled by the amount of effort he puts into things, and he is often boggled by how carefree & easygoing I am about everything (definitely to a fault).

I also had to look this one up! My DH always buys produce and he never eats it. He also does this with other things. For example, he had a Keurig given to him by a co-worker because it was broken. He was convinced he could fix it. So he tried and it kept leaking everywhere. So he kept saying “I’ll fix it; I’ll fix it…” It sat around for a couple months. I finally just threw it away a couple weeks ago and he never said one word about it haha. He buys all kinds of veggies and fruits and lets them sit in our fruit basket until I toss them. I make a lot of soups and stuff so I always chop or slice up the rest of our produce and freeze it. He laughed at me for freezing all these veggies. Hmph!

gemchick82:  Be sure to post a recap of dinner. That Vegetti thing is cool!
