You can do them whenever you want but I am choosing to do them during the dinner because a lot of people get bored during the toasts and this way the get to do what they love to do (eat) while listening to the toasts!
We are actually doing them just before midnight since our wedding is on NYE, but I would say usually after the prayer and just before dinner to get it over with. I wouldn't want to keep stopping to do things during the night.
We are having a plated dinner and will do them between each of the courses.

If you're having toasts, when are you doing them?
I'm trying to piece together a rough timeline, and was wondering what everyone else did/is doing. Is there an "expected" time for this sort of thing?
