I just assumed I would do this after the ceremony and before the reception.  While talking with my mom she thought it would be nice to have the train long during some of the reception pictures and bustle it after dinner?

So that just had me wondering what other bees are doing??

I bustled my dress during photos (which we did beforehand) and then again immediately after the ceremony.  Looking back, I wish I had unbustled it for photos, but we were walking a distance and I was worried about the train getting dirty (we took photos on a lawn).  In the end, for me, it didn't really matter because my bustle broke when I sat down to sign the marriage license.  I tried to safety pin it, but it was pretty much a lost cause.  I just slung it over my arm for most of the night.  Classy, right?

I will definitely be bustling mine just before the reception after photos. It just wouldn't be feasible to have it down during the reception, it's a 6 foot train! Smile We are going to take some nightime photos after the reception by the walls of waterfalls and I will leave it up so it doesn't get all wet!

I plan to bustle mine right before the reception.  I don't want to risk anyone stepping on it. :)

I did the bustle right before the reception because i'll have to walk around a lot (at least from table to table). If you're going to dance, most likely you need the dress to be bustled before then as well.

RIGHT before I walked in the door. DH was poking around my booty trying to hook it up. Ahhhh freedom!

I wonder if I have to bustle my dress. I'm so clueless when it comes to that. I just can't imagine doing anything to change the dress. :(

It's a chapel train, but I'm not sure exactly how chapel. When I tried it on, it seemed like it had no train, but maybe that's cause I was entirely too tall for it.

My train isn't particularly long, so I'm thinking before dancing.

Is it a bad idea not to bustle? I'm getting way too paranoid about this before I'm even at that step. :/
