I'm about halfway through doing mine. I had a meeting with our priest, organist and singer a couple of weeks ago to finalize everything so I'm under the assumption it won't change.
I wish I could start, but we haven't finalized our music yet, so.... But once that's done, we're gonna start printing. :)
I finished the program this past weekend but am taking it to the priest next week to be finalized so we can start printing. If you have an officiant that needs to review your program, have him/her do so, then you can be safe that no further changes are really needed. I wouldn't wait until the week of, either
Our final meeting with our priest isn't until Aug 1st so not until after then. The design is pretty much ready to go, just need to make changes if he has any, if we change readings at the last minute etc. I wanted to do them early, if you can, I would! Not many people will notice if something's different.
I'll be putting ours together when we figure out how our ceremony will go and get the final ok from our parish's liturgist. I have a feeling this will be a last minute, rush DIY.
I got my layout finished in Microsoft Word last night. We're not having a religious ceremony though. I am going to run to Staples this weekend to see about getting them printed on cardstock and will probably be making fans out of them!
I already did mine :) I am hoping to have all projects done within 2 weeks of the wedding. So OH WELL if there are changes lol I only put bridal party members anyway.
Once you've finalized everything with the officiant/priest, and the music/musicians are settled, it'd be safe to go ahead and print.... regardless if it's 3 months or 3 days before the ceremony.
Our final meeting with the wedding coordinator at our church is this week, as well as my "really really final" RSVP due date; after that I can officially print up my programs because I'll know for sure what to put in them and how many to print.
We're printing ours right now for our July 31st (almost August) wedding.
I just printed out 150 tonight! FI and I started cutting them tonight - we got through 27 - UGH! I also completed 5 of them - so I guess that is 32 that we have cut....only 118 to go!
I did mine a couple weeks ago - basic fans. I didn't print music at all on them, and I figure that if something changes, it's not the end of the world. I'd rather have them done and out of the way than accommodate a potential minor change and try to scramble at the last minute.
Uhh.. I am meaning to do them but haven't started yet.
We discussed the timeline of the ceremony with our priest but i didnt take any notes so I'll have to ask again. lol I also don't remember what songs our harpist is playing so i i'll have to ask her.
wow i'm really putting this off.. I thought I could leave them until a week or 2 before. I should probably start soon
Thanks to wonderful FBIL/BM, MOH and GM(her hubby) we cranked out printed, cut and assembled 55 fan programs yesterday. 35 more to go WOOHOO! 
LOVE how they turned out. Totally went for a more rectangular fan program which is mroe our style. Super simple and clean.
