Hey!! My wedding is March 13th, 2010 & I'm sending mine out closer to late January. You're supposed to send them out about 2 months before your wedding. Your RSVP date sounds right, mine is Feb. 15th. I would send your out either 2 months before or late January. If you do this, you don't have to worry about people misplacing the invites and it's still plenty of time to get the RSVP's back & for them to remember the date easily.
I think you're right on target - it'll be easier on you to wait, and the invitation is less likely to get lost in the shuffle.
Since we have a lot of people coming from far away, we are sending ours in very late December/early January, and looking at a reply by date of Feb. 10th since we need a fairly close head count for our venue one month prior.
I'm sending mine the first week of January, with an RSVP date of February 14th.
I'm sending mine January 20th with RSVP date of February 20th...I figured two months before and then a month to RSVP...and then a month until the wedding after. I've gotten invitations anywhere from 4 months in advance to 1 month in advance...I don't think it really matters unless you have to give your venue an exact number, which I do...I would say maybe the middle of January would be good.
thats about when i was planning on doing it too....mail out early jan with rsvp due feb20th for a wedding of march 20
I'm getting married March 7th and I'll be mailing the invites out the first week in January. RSVP date is February 7th.

Our wedding is in July and we're going to send out the invitations mid-end of March.

My knot.com checklist just popped up that I should send my invites now since I've just hit the three month mark. Is anyone else sending them now, or will you be waiting til after the holidays? My original thought had been to send them out January 2nd, and the RSVP date is February 20th. Any thoughts?
