I have finally just enrolled in childbirth classes! Due to my husbands crazy work schedule we have to take an all day Saturday class and I’ll be ~34 weeks at the time! Yikes it kinda scares me that we have to wait so long, but it is the only class they had where he has off work and it was really important for me to have him there. Did anyone else take a class late in their pregnancy?
Also we enrolled in a Prenatal Breestfeeding class next month to get some inside tips from a lactation consultant and to kinda know what to expect before D-day. Has anyone else taken these classes? Did you find them helpful?

We took an all day prepared childbirth class last weekend (33 weeks) and most of the women were between 28 weeks and 36 weeks. Our class was not through the hospital but a separate center that was geared more toward natural childbirth. Both my DH and I really enjoyed it and didn’t feel it was too late in the pregnancy.
Our infant care class and breastfeeding class (both also through this other resource) will be during week 35 and 36 respectively. I figure this way we’ll hopefully retain as much of the information as possible.

We took our classes fairly early due to our work schedules. I am due April 27th and we just finished the classes this past week. We did have a girl in my class who was further along and she had her baby with her at the last class 🙂

You can read too as it really depends on what type of class you’re taking. With Moose, we started in October and I was due in January, but delivered in December due to a giant problem. Now, I’m pregnant again, due in late July, and we’re starting classes at the beginning of April.

We didn’t start until I was 34 weeks; it was a 4 class series, so we finished classes like a week before Addie was born! If you’ve read any pregnancy/birth books, you’ve the basics covered anyway; I’m sure you’ll be fine. 🙂

I am not doing classes. It is very hard to schedule them, plus I will be doing them on my own. I have asked other mommies about them and a lot of them say they werent worth it to them, so I dont know if it would work out well for me.
