I am 16w2d and this past weekend started feeling “flutters”.  It’s very hard to describe what it feels like and can be easily mistaken for gas…

But the best way to describe it is the feeling you get when you are on a roller coaster…kind of the stomach dropping feeling but not nearly as intense!  It’s so cool!

I felt flutters, almost like hunger pangs, at 16 weeks. I started to feel unmistakable kicks and punches and rolls around 18 weeks and I agree with @KateByDesign, sometimes it’s similar to a rollercoaster feeling! Other times it’s like waves, or a flickering.

It is definitely my favorite part of pregnancy, and I will miss it when he’s dancing around on the outside.

I agree, I started feeling flutters at 16 weeks and a few weeks later those flutters turned into kicks!

Didn’t feel baby until about 19 weeks 5 days and I don’t think I really realized it was the baby until middle of week 20, thought it was gas 🙂 I started to actually SEE the kicks at 23 weeks.

I felt definite flutters at around 17 weeks. Those lasted for a couple of weeks, then they turned to kicks around 20. And more intense in the last two weeks. Last night, at 27 weeks, I finally felt her turn around, which was creepy!

A lot of people feel flutters – I never had that. At around 16-17 weeks I got a swift kick on the front of my belly that felt like a “pop”! I was so startled, I jumped!

My baby has been super active ever since. 20-30 weeks felt like a litter of kittens playing in my belly. Now (35 weeks) it feels like I have a tasmanian devil inside of me.

It really depends. I felt first movements at 16w5d but only occasionally over that week and into the next. I started feeling regular daily movements at 18w, and husband could feel external at 20. My placenta is anterior (front), which creates a cushion that buffers movement. A good friend with a first pregnancy and the same placement didn’t feel first movement until 22 weeks, which is still normal.

@MrsRugbee:  mine was the same… I was just chillin with my hand on top of baby’s area and felt a quick pop… I am 16wks… Not flutters yet…. And I’ve only felt the baby pop me twice when I was really focused and waited a while for them…

@MySunshine:  Just wait!! If your baby is anything like mine in the next couple of weeks you’re going to start having regular movement every day, whether you want to or not. I have never once had a concern about my baby not moving enough :-/

With my first daugher, I didn’t feel her until closer to 18-19 weeks. With my youngest, knowing what she was ‘supposed’ to feel like, I could differentiate kicks closer to 14 weeks.

I could feel a really strang sensation around 15 weeks, which felt like bubbles popping in my stomach, over the next few weeks it got stronger and started to feel like there was popcorn popping. Now at 20 weeks my baby is crazy active, actually would not let me sleep last night because apparently my uterus was the stage for RiverDance. DH felt the baby kick about 18weeks, and now feels it much more regularily.

I had flutters and felt a strong “pop” feeling around 16 weeks that I thought was a kick but couldn’t be sure. I started feeling definite kicks around 19 weeks.

@SoontobeMrsAM:  I never felt “flutters” or atleast I didn’t notice them. At just under 18w I could literally feel the smallest kicks… it felt like I was being flicked from the inside.
