@future_mrs_sommer:  Yes, but I just ignore them. People should be professional but it doesn’t mean they are.

Yes, my office. EVERY DAY! Our office has gone through a lot of changes and a lot of cut-backs with little communication and it’s left everyone gossiping like they are 13 year old girls. It’s worse than high school here. I can tell it’s even leaving me with some nasty habits…

I’m hanging on until I’m done with school, hopefully last next year, and then I’m peacing out.

I used to work in a place where everyone was miserable. It was awful because I’m just a happy go lucky person. Even when I don’t feel happy or things are going on I might be quieter but I still don’t snap at people. At least I try hard not to!

Take today… I am FEELING like a major grump puss and I so desperately just want to go back to bed and NOT THINK ABOUT ANY OF THIS CRAP but I still smile and chat with my coworkers. I think of it as a distraction from my grumpiness lol.

@Sunnyday278:  My job wasn’t always so grumpy. I used to like coming in, it made my day bright. But now it’s not. Did you notice a change in your attitude after you left?

@future_mrs_sommer:  YES YES YES!!! I work with all women. Bitter single moms, every one of them (let me clarify that I’m not insulting single moms, it’s just that when all you hear is “baby daddy this” and “baby daddy that” all day it makes you want to rip your ears off). Your baby daddy problems are YOUR baby daddy problems so don’t take out your frustrations on me!  OMG they whine and gossip. Just yesterday I overheard an argument out in the hallway by my office. Allegedly someone had rolled their eyes at someone else. This ended in tears and a screaming match. Hours later this chick came back still bitching about the incident to all her co-workers. Keep in mind now that patients are constantly walking in and out of our department. They witness all of this. Real professional, huh?

Well, I definitely did… I felt a HUGE weight taken off my shoulders. However the job itself was a horrid miserable job, and thats why people were so miserable. They weren’t all bad people and they could be nice when you struck up a conversation. I did what you aren’t supposed to do – quit without having another job lined up. I was in the position to do so, and I decided I couldn’t take another day. I am a happy go lucky person but between hating the job itself and having everyone else around me be miserable, it did start to affect me and I felt so unlike myself being so sad and anxious all the time.

I did what you aren’t supposed to do – quit without having another job lined up. But it was the BEST decision I have ever made!!!!

Nope! The people I work with are awesome. I have to admit that I am a bit grumpy right away in the morning though :/ I prefer to just settle on and check emails for the first half hour and sometimes get a little short when people bombard me with questions right away. I’m working on it though! I always feel so guilty afterwards.

Yep. My “assistant” (who can’t her own work done, much less assist me with my tasks) is a soul-sucking, manipulative, attitude-y child. She complains every day, throughout the day, about how difficult her job is, and how she hates doing this particular task, and how busy she is with everything. And she brings her personal problems in and lets them affect her performance/attitude at work. Estranged hubby was 10 minutes late picking up the kids from her house? She walks in the next day and blasts him for 10 minutes, calling him all sorts of mean names. I don’t CARE. Just do your damn job and STFU. (I’m not even going to get into how she misses hours of work almost every day for personal reasons. She’s useless.)

Sigh, I’m so over her. I told my/our boss that I’m ready to fire her as soon as he gives me the ok.

However, just about everyone else I work with is awesome. My boss is one of my favorite people.
