Ha! Good question... it still hasn't sunken in to me that I am really getting married and I have less than a year left! I wonder if this is normal... lol :)
It hit me last night when we met with the vicar in the church, he got us to stand where we will say our vows, eeeek!! I've just been so busy organising its easy to forget what its really about!!
@acingthelace: me too! I looked over at my dad right before we walked and that was it!
I agree with, @acingthelace: & @Mrs.ChubbyBunny:. It was the best feeling ever!
When I saw a bee post that it was 7 weeks until her wedding a week before mine and I realized I'm in single digit weeks now. O-M-G!!!
I'm prety sure i'll have another O-M-G moment when I put on my wedding dress and everythign that day. I already get butterflies thinking about it (of excitement not nerves. lol)
@bookworm88: our last two deposits were for the honeymoon and the cake....that's when I got the feeling that OMG, this is really happening.... I am sure I will get a tingly feeling as I am walking down the ailse and looking my best friend in his eyes :'( ... sooooo excited!
Looking at vows and putting our names in them. :) Made me realize we'd actually be saying that stuff!
Uh, it's been 3 months since the wedding and it's STILL sinking in!!
There were lots of little moments along the way, but it didn't hit me hard until I saw myself in the mirror for the first time with my bridal look finally pulled together. Standing there, seeing myself as a bride, it hit me like a ton of bricks. it was emotionally overwhelming in the best way possible. All of those little moments had been leading up to that big one. It was... wow.
Right before I went down the aisle! And even then, it all seems very surreal now!
I get that feeling everytime we book something important first it was the venue and said Omg were getting married. Then I bought my dress and cried of course and was like Omg I'm REALLY getting married. Then we booked our photographer, Omg! Lol then booked our caterer Omg! Haha and bought our rings = ) and AGAIN Omg! Lol and I am pretty sure I will get the biggest Omg yet in 2 days when we take our engagement pics!! Ahhhh... =D
I have been married for 3 months and it STILL hasn't hit me!
Well I'd say at some point this month it has hit me, hard. My dress came in and I am booking appointments for cake tasting, hair and makeup trials and choosing my invites. I'd say it is becoming very real at this point. Am I freaked out, absolutely!
I think when everyone started showing up at the hotel the day before. Since I was planning from another state there was never really wedding "stuff" all around me.
I also got majorly excited when the coordinator at the hotel sent me a giant pdf with the entire rundown of the day. I told her I'd never been so excited to pay a giant bill before.
I think it hit me when we got our first RSVP card! We were like, "Wow, someone is coming to this thing! It's happening!" During the planning stages it seemed like this mystical far-away event, but now that we're getting responses I feel like it's really happening.
I dont think it has fully hit me yet because I still have time before the wedding but I am sure it will hit me on that day
It sort of hit me yesterday when I put on my dress at the final fitting and was able to take it home. :)
it hit me just this week actually. on Monday we went to register our intent to marryy and book the registrar etc, up until then we were just arranging a WEDDING........going to the registery office made our forthcoming MARRIAGE so real.
It still hasn't hit me but i have two more years... knowing myself I think it will hit when I try on dresses :)
@bookworm88: Awwww :)
I think it finally sunk in this week, for both me AND FI. He looked at me on Sunday and was like "HOLYJEEBUSWEAREGETTINGMARRIEDFORREALZ"
:D

While my SO and I aren't engaged-with-a-ring yet, we have set tentative dates and I've started researching vendors and venues to get us prices to go on.
Today I called the last venue on my list (my first phone call, I usually hide behind email!) and the woman who answered asked if I was the bride. ...I said yes! And then promptly started silently crying while she congratulated me and told me all about the place! It all hit me at once-- I'm going to be a bride!
So bees, when did it hit you? When did you realize "WHOA, I'm getting married!"
(I also might be biased and want this venue now...
