I woke up this morning and went to take a shower. I noticed my belly isn’t as high up as it has been the last few weeks, but I’m not sure if I’ve really dropped. Other than the visible ways of telling are there any physical ones? More pressure on your pelvis/lower back? Sensation of waddling? Those last two I noticed on my walk from the bed to the bathroom, but now I’m beginning to wonder if it’s psychosematic.
For those that have had a baby – how long after you dropped did you go into labor? Thanks!

I dropped on January 1st and had the baby one day before her due date on the 24th. My dropping was sudden. I was wrapping Christmas presents (yeah, don’t judge) on the floor and when I got up something felt different and weird. It was like my hip felt like it was going to give out. That continued to happen when I stood still for too long. I just felt weird and wasn’t sure what was going on until the next day when I really looked in the mirror and noticed that she had dropped. My whole shape had changed pretty significantly.

I dropped at about 37 weeks. I didn’t really know until my doctor told me that she was really low (she could feel that she was low and the ultrasound tech also told me). But after that it made sense, I could breath again b/c she was no longer on my lungs, and I had to pee a lot more with all the pressureo on my bladder.

I didn’t realize it until my grandma mentioned it! I put my hand between my belly and chest and it fit but it wouldn’t have before. I asked my doctor that week and sure enough, baby was low 🙂 It was around 36-37 weeks

I noticed I had dropped the morning I hit 34 weeks. I didn’t realize it at first. I got dressed and noticed that my shirt felt like it fit a little differently. I went and asked my mom if my belly looked lower and she said it definitely did! That’s when I realized how much easier it was to breathe without baby right against my lungs! Now, I’m a few days shy of 37 weeks and she mentioned today that I looked like I had dropped a little more.

I have NO IDEA when I dropped! 🙂 I was super low forever, but if I had to guess it would have been around 30 weeks, when I started to have a lot more pressure down below…like a lot.
