We first met with our florist in January and our wedding is in August. I would recommend anywhere from 1yr- 6months. Over a year is too far out and some florists are already booked within six months.

We met I think it was probably 11 months out. I say definitely just go ahead and meet with different florists because I thought at first they were going to have very similar prices so it wouldn’t matter who I went with – no way! There was one place that wanted to charge us $5,000 for ALL SILK flower arrangements. I say the sooner you book people, the better. Then you can always just wait closer to the day to do actual consultations.

I started interviewing florists in October (my wedding is in July) and didn’t find anyone I wanted to work with.  I started interviewing florists again in January and found my florist then.

We met with florists five to six months out.  It worked well for us, but vendors don’t seem to book very early around here.

First meeting with florist in January for July wedding. Six months seems about right. I alreay half-forget what we decided, so I’ll be surprised in July. (Kidding…we’re supposed to have a follow-up meeting this spring to fill in some of the blanks from our first meeting.)

We booked our florist about 6 months before our wedding. We had a follow up meeting about 1 month before the wedding to finalize everything.

We just met with her about 3 weeks ago and our wedding is in June.  I suppose that’s pretty late, but I had been putting it off and originally thought I would be DIYing the centerpieces and just getting bouquets from a florist.  I changed my mind though and am getting everything done through a florist…I think it helped that my wedding is on a Friday, so she wasn’t booked yet.

give yourself 6 months, but 4 months is also ok. It all depends how much you “care” some couples are very easy going. Some take a little bit more time to make decisions. My advices: a) make sure you get the florist you want so they are not booked b) be comfortable enough with amount of time you give yourself to plan everything.

We did plan full weddings in under a week. So anything is possible. πŸ™‚

I met with our florist about 10 months in advance.  I was glad I did, because they book fast.
