Ours was very similar! Coming back from our honeymoon at customs they asked who I was traveling with and said my husband. I paused and had to think about it before I answer! lol

For me it was making a reservation, I can’t remember what or where but when they asked my last name I said HIS name and we both just grinned!

I had a wedding in 3 different countries (multicultural family) so for the first week and a half we were going around seeing family, travelling, staying with family…

When we were finally alone and settled in our hotel, went to have a fruit cocktail in the bar and actually sat down (!!!) was when I felt the wedding mess was over and we were married 🙂

So, bees to be married: go anywhere (close, far away…) alone for a couple of days 🙂 honeymoon is very important

I’ve only been married for almost 3 weeks now, and I am just getting my name changed with different documents (so far, just SS card and license), and so I feel that has been a start. It will probably take me awhile though, especially with the last name. Until everything has been changed, I’ll feel like I’m in limbo – even though it has officially changed!

I know after we got engaged, and he introduced me as his fiance – that really was an awesome feeling!

I answered the hotel phone on the honeymoon and the hotel concierge said, “Hello Mrs. ____” and I looked around for my MIL before realizing- “Oh that’s ME now!!!” So surreal yet awesome. 🙂

For me it happened when we were getting on the plane heading to our honeymoon and it was just us two.  We had never taken a trip together so this was a big deal for us

I’m not sure when I first realized it, but one time that I do remember thinking, “OK, we are REALLY MARRIED now” was when my husband and I both got food poisoning and laid together in agony on the couch for two days. Totally not romantic, haha.

We were at our post-wedding brunch and I ordered eggs over medium but they came out very much over-easy. I sent them back. They came out again, still over-easy (and I mean, completely runny, whiltes not even cooked at ALL) I never send food back but I sent these back again because really, how hard is it?

So finally my husband goes in and says “excuse me, my wife has already sent these eggs back twice. Can you please cook them longer next time?” And then we giggled because he said wife.

When my husband and I sat down to breakfast the next morning.

“My wife would like coffee please.”

I loved it…hearing him say wife & wow I needed that coffee.

It hit me when we got back to our hotel room after the reception and DH ran us a bubble bath in this massive spa bath (water and bubbles absolutely everywhere) and we got in like two giggling children and then we just sat there and stared at each other for a while with this shocked wide eyed, goofy grin looks on our faces and I remember him saying “We finally did it”! (after 12 years of waiting!)

It hit me again the first time he introduced me as his Wife – that was surreal.
