I have my first prenatal apt Feb 29th and I'm not sure if they are going to do an US or not. When did you get your first US?

We had an "unofficial" ultrasound at our first appointment (8 weeks) that the OB did in the exam room with the transvaginal u/s machine. Our real ultrasound (with a tech) was at 20 weeks.

My OB's office does one at 10 weeks and then again at 18-20 weeks for an anatomy scan.  I also had a 6.5 wk (b/c of a prior issue) and also one at 12 weeks (elective NT scan).

I had my first appointment when I was 8 weeks and 5 days (they wanted it between 8 and 10 weeks) and they did a transvaginal ultrasound.

Not counting my ER visit (6 weeks), my first scheduled ultrasound was at my 2nd appointment (11 weeks). My first appointment (7 weeks) was just bloodwork, family history, general pregnancy information.

I had my first one right at 6 weeks, but I had previous miscarriages, so they tend to do them earlier and more frequently.

In my province, unless there are issues with the pregnancy, an ultrasound isnt done until 19-20 weeks. That is when measurements are done and if there are no complications that will be the only one. Luckily, the tech I had was amazing and went into a ton of detail for about 30 mins after she had done all her work. I have a "babymoon 3D ultrasound" scheduled for my 29th week - but that is optional and not covered by our health system.

My doctor does them at every visit, so I had my first one at 6 weeks.

I was exactly 7 weeks when I had mine. Second one was at 12 weeks.

I voted first appointment because that was the closest option, but in actual fact my first ultrasound was at 7 weeks 4 days and was done at the hospital but that was not my first prenatal appointment. My first prenatal appointment was at 6 weeks 1 day and was in my OB's office.

I had a blood test done at week 4 (day after getting my bpf). My second appointment was at 8 weeks.(transvaginal). I also had a second ultrasound done around 12 weeks for the NT scan and I paid for another one at 14 weeks for to find out the gender. I have an ultrasound scheduled for week 20 for the anatomy scan.

Typically I think you only get 2 (if you are not doing the NT) 1 at week 8 to confirm the pregnancy and 1 at week 20 for the anatomy scan.

I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks, but that was not my first appointment.  My first appointment was actually afterwards at 10 weeks.  We were able to get another quick ultrasound that day too because the nurse couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler (too soon) and so they snuck us in for a quickie to see the heart beat.  Then I had an elective ultrasound at 13 weeks (NT scan).  My next one isn't until 18-20 weeks.

My first prenatal appointment was at 10 weeks. I had a transvaginal ultrasound at that appointment because my midwife had difficulty finding the heartbeat with the doppler. Come to find out my placenta was anterior, which acted as a cusion for the baby to hide behind making it hard to hear the heartbeat. Same thing happened at 14 weeks - still couldn't hear the little guy, but this time they did a regular ultrasound on my belly. It was kind of a mixed blessing both times - it was really scary to not be able to find the heartbeat with the doppler and of course I started thinking the worst, but really nice to be able to see our little guy on the utlrasound and seeing his strong heart blinking away on the screen. I'm not sure they would have done an ultrasound that early if they were able to hear the heartbeat with the doppler.
