I am having one next weekend at 31w and one in March at 35w. I feel like it is really late compared to some women but I work retail so there was no way to have one Nov-Dec and January was my month to recover!

My mom really wants to host one and I’d have to fly, so I’ll have to go before 36 weeks, ideally before 28 weeks for comfort reasons. 28 weeks feels pretty darn early, but oh well!

I’m having it this weekend at 37 weeks.

i would have liked it sooner but between the holidays

and people being broke in Jan.

Feb was the next best option.

ours was when our lil boy was 18 days old. We didn’t find out if we were having a boy or girl and wanted to let people find out before the shower. Everyone really enjoyed that he was there for them to meet too!

@pittgirl4:  I had my shower at 31wks, I wanted to make sure I had time before the baby arrived to purchase whatever I still needed and didn’t get at the shower. It ended up  being a good idea because I mostly got clothes which I already had a tons off, and also was able to return items I didn’t really like and get other I wanted. Also It was exhausting! couldn’t imagine doing it further along when you feel even more tired.

Most of the ladies I know have them from 30-35 weeks.  But a few have gone a bit earlier (around 28 weeks) due to scheduling issues or the holidays.  I ahve always been told that 30 weeks is the best because your belly is still cute and you aren’t as tired as you’re going to get later in the third trimester.

I had mine REALLY early–At 26 weeks!

But at 28 weeks it was Thansgiving, at 34 weeks it was Christmas, and we moved at 35 weeks! And we didn’t want to do it between Thanksigiving and Christmas, since people are SO busy then!

I had one at 34 weeks. My work shower was supposed to be at 35 weeks, but I was put on bedrest a few days before it happened.
