I’m 17w5days and I am finally giving in and ordering a bellyband tonight.  These pants can’t take any more abuse!

I’m with you. I’m 9w today. Technically I was already a bit overgrowing my pants (whoops to the post-wedding weight gain) but not by much. And now with the bloating I can’t even stand to have my pants touch me, much less be buttoned. Dresses and skirts with flat hems are it for me these days.

I’ve had to rock the belllaband with my jeans for about a week now. I am 9 weeks 5 days today. I am SO bloated and have only gained 2 lbs. I actually just bought my first pair of mat jeans today and there are a tad too big, but so comfy.

Used a rubber band to extend the wear on my pants/shorts up until about week 14/15, can’t remember exactly. I started buying maternity pants around week 20 I think. It’s hard to remember now! I never used a Bella band.

I got my first pair of maternity pants just this past weekend (at 15 weeks). I think what helped was that I actually didn’t gain anything during the first trimester due to being sick a lot of the time (which totally sucked). However, now that I’m able to keep food down, I’m definitely noticing a difference in my body and needed those maternity pants! They are so incredibly comfy too! 🙂

Wearing mine right now (9W1D).  Bought it at 8 weeks. I am fine buttoning pants but then I can’t sit down.  LOL. Much more comfy.

I purchased mine a week ago and I am 12weeks tomorrow. I have a few pants that still fit, but I can’t stand to wear anything too snug.

Can I just say I feel much better now that others are using it before the bump really exists? I thought I was just getting fat from my carbs-only diet that this stupid morning sickness has me on.

The bella band was seriously a waste of money for me. I moved straight into maternity pants at 24 weeks.

I can’t remember when I made the switch to maternity pants but when I did, I wondered why I waited so long. I still wish it was fashionably acceptable to wear pants with elastic waists like maternity pants. So comfy!

I started with the bella band at 8 weeks, but honestly that thing was just miserable. It’s basically a portion of a tube top that moves when you get up and down. I was always readjusting myself and felt like standing up with my pants unbuttoned gave away the pregnancy move. At 10 weeks I bought maternity pants and loved them. Noone could tell they were maternity and I was comfortable. I didn’t 100% need them at 10 weeks but my pants were tight and getting uncomfortable and since I was going to but them anyways I might as well get as many wears out of them as possible

I’m 11 weeks and wearing my maternity jeans right now, and have been since 9 weeks.  I couldn’t comfortably sit with my pants buttoned since week 7 or so.

A friend of mine told me not waste any money on maternity pants and just buy a bella band. So far, the maternity jeans have been worth their weight in gold, though, and weren’t even that expensive. $35 at Old Navy.

A friend at work wore a bella band in early pregnancy, but always cursed it in the bathroom because it was such a production to get everything back in place. No, thank you. Also, I did the elastic around the button for a while, but with my regular jeans, that meant that my zipper was always open. I guess it would be the same if I wore those jeans with a bella band. So that’s not really an option.
