I do not know your wedding budget but I highly encourage you to go to Target and buy your wedding invitations. They are having a clearance. That way you can put more money in other stuff such as food, photographer, flowers etc..

They have really nice ones that are very similar to really expensive ones. High quality stuff.

My wedding was in October, and I ordered mine in late May. Sent them out late July. So I voted 4-6 months. I think you may be a little early.

I bought mine about 4 months before the wedding because I was doing a lot of DIY and I had to stamp the envelopes twice, and then hand address them and create, cut and stamp the inserts. I got mine from anns bridal bargains and I paid  just under $150 for 150 invites and by the time I was done with the rubber stamping etc the invites looked awesome

I think you’re still way too early, but thats just me.  You never know what could happen – you might change your venue, or decide to elope, or move things up or back for any given reason.  Wait as long as possible, then order. There will still be awesome options available 🙂

I think that is too early. You may change your mind. Who knows though – that is what I would do.

I ordered my invitations at the end of July for my early November wedding

We’re getting married on August 4, and I ordered our invitations 2 days ago.  I’m so excited to see them!

I ordered mine 3 months in advance (and am still waiting for them to come in).  I wouldn’t recommend ordering them so far in advance because things (little details) often change!

I ordered mine a year out and now wish I hadn’t. We bought them during an online black Friday sale for $50 and changed a few of the pertinent details. In order to have the exact same ones reprinted it will be well over $300. We have decided to go a different route with our invites in order to curb costs, but we are now left with 50 RSVP’s and 50 Invites that we can’t use.

@Ms.GoodEarth:  FWIW, I’ve been engaged for 14 months and have seen this exact invitation the entire time, so something tells me it’ll still be around when you’re ready to buy!  No worries.
