You need an option for other on there...lol. I told my best friend immediately, we did not tell our families until a few months later.
we didnt tell anyone at first and then I told my parents when I was 10weeks and 6days. we still havent told DH's parents yet and havent told any of our friends.
I wanted to keep it a secret until we told my parents, as they would be the ones to freak out, and his fam were excited. FI was the one to spill, he told his mom, who flipped with excitement, and spread it around. We told my parents a few weeks later, and then every one else.
We told family at 9-10 weeks (after we had already had our first ultrasound and had heard the heartbeat). Close friends we started telling at 11-12 weeks, and for everyone else we waited until 12-14 weeks (after the 2nd ultrasound and 1st trimester scan).
I spilled it to my best friend when I found out she was expecting (so far we've both only shared with each other). DH and I are waiting until after the first trimester to tell our families, which lines up well with Thanksgiving so we can do it in person.
I wanted to wait till bloodwork confirmation to tell parents and siblings. But my husband was itching to tell and it was Labor Day weekend and we got the BFP on a Thursday. So I caved and we told them plus 2 of our closest friends immediately.
But I stood firm on not telling anyone else till we saw the heartbeat. And yes right after the appointment he told everyone! I waited another couple days before telling a close work buddy. News is trickling through the families because we've gotten phone calls and FB messages of congratulations. :) But I won't tell work till closer to 2nd trimester or when I start to show.
Well, most of our friends know we are trying to have a baby, so when I get preggo we will probably tell them immediately but then other people we will probably wait a while.
Immediate family pretty much right away, friends within the first month or two, and everyone else after 12 weeks.
Told my parents and ILs at about 4months -- didn't announce it to the world until 6months, didn't show (have a real bump) until 7months.
We're not pregnant but I will not be telling anyone (except MAYBE my mom) before 12 weeks. I'm sure it will be a really hard secret to keep but it will be worth the wait.
We told close family right away, some friends that we see all the time we told sooner than 12 weeks, but for everyone else, we waited the standard 12 weeks to tell.
@PitBulLover: I was always I will not tell until the 3 month point. But now that I am I am just itching to tell people. I am so excited and just don't want to wait that long. So far I have been pretty good and have only told a friend of mine, we always talk about babies and she has 3 little girls, I needed someone for female support.
I want to tell our parents at thanks giving this weekend but I don't know. I am only at 4weeks and 4 days... I know its really soon but I am sooo excited lol.

We found out last week and I am really itching to tell. I know it is best to wait until 3 months but I hate not telling. I am just so excited and I suck at keeping it in.
I was wondering what you did and if you were to have another little one would you do the same?
