@iarebridezilla:  I think I’m going to start acting like that around 35 weeks. I also over-prepare for everything though. I read that your water keeps gushing for around an hour after it breaks too. So you might want to have some Depends to go along with that towel. To show you how much of a crazy over-preparer I am though, I bought Depends at 10w.

I’m really, really, REALLY hoping I naturally go into labor at 37-38 weeks.  I’m keep telling myself that’s my due date, and hoping my body and baby are ready and believe it too. 😉 So I’ll probably start to really freak out around 36 weeks.

lol, I’m only 33 weeks and I don’t know why, but I’m convinced that it could happen “at any time!”  I know most first timers go past their due date, so I don’t know what’s causing this urgency.  I think most of it is, the past few weeks I’ve heard so many stories about somebody delivering 1-2 months early.

I do like the towel in the car idea! And come mid Oct, I might start carrying around extra undies and shorts…just in case.

@iarebridezilla:  Your pregnancy posts make me laugh and not want to be pregnant equally 😛

LOL I started acting like this at 34w, which is when I read online that they don’t stop your labor if you did go into labor at this time. My OB feels pretty confident LO will be late because I’m a FTM, but you read about all these people having theirs WAY early that you get paranoid.

I’m planning to make a just-in-case kit around 37 weeks to leave in my trunk. I wish I had the security of an office where I could have supplies, but I’m a supply teacher, so I’m going to rely on a change of clothes, towel and lots of praying to the Powers That Be that my waters won’t break while I’m working.

I’m only 35 weeks now and DH is already acting like it could be any time. His bff invited him to a thing next weekend and he’s afraid to go in case the baby comes early. :/

@iarebridezilla:  *hides* I asked MrPanda99 if we could hire a surrogate. I want kids, but I do NOT want to be pregnant or give birth. If only he wasn’t such an ass hat, he would have said yes.

I started acting like this TODAY! 38 weeks exactly. Until today, I was convinced I’d go overdue and was really easygoing. Then last night, I had my first set of real feeling contractions and I was like “holy shit! This just got real!

I am now wearing an “overnight” pad while sitting at my desk because I’m afraid of my water breaking at work. I added the last few items to my hospital bag. Made a target run at lunch to pick up those few last minute items.

Watch, I’ll have irregular contractions for the next month and be induced at 42 weeks!

Do you have access to chucks pads?  It’s the blue plastic-ish pads with cotton on one side?

Anyway, I started putting those under my fitted sheet around 36-37 weeks.  I also kept some in the car… ya know, just in case.

My bag was packed and things left tidy at work every night around 37 weeks as well.

I did NOT intend to go past my due date, and as low as it looked like I was carrying everyone was shocked every morning when I waddled into work.  Ended up going over a week past due!

I always say ‘better safe than sorry’ and like to be prepared ahead of time 🙂

Since I’m not a first time mom and my first child wasn’t late but was born on her due date, I will likely start preparing 33-34 weeks
