When did you start to see results?

@MrsPanda99:  Isn’t it better to just go by how you feel? If you feel healthier, then doesn’t it mean that it’s working?

I started regularly working out in September of 2011… I didn’t really want to lose a lot of weight.. But I didn’t start seeing results ok myself until recently. I had small changes but I mostly gained muscle so it may have been different for me.

I would say about a month. After I started eating right and exercising, I immediately started feeling better, but it took about a month to actually see results and then after a month all the extra weight just melted away.

@MrsPanda99:  On the scale I didn’t see a difference for over a month.  However, when I started taking my measurements with a tape I saw a clear difference of an inch or two pretty much every week.

@MrsPanda99:  I am sure it will! I think the first month is the hardest because it takes time to adjust to your new lifestyle, but once you get into a routine the weight will come off pretty fast. At least that is how it was for me.

@MrsPanda99:  Give it 4-6 weeks.  I know, it sounds like an eternity, but go by how your clothes fit and your energy level.  Don’t worry about the number on the scale 🙂

This reminds me that I should do some ‘before’ photos… I still have a LOT of baby weight to lose!

@MrsPanda99:

May I ask how big are you?  You use the word “fat.”  It is much harder to note change when you are not very big to begin with, so if you are not really “fat” but just feel “fat,” it might take sometime.

@MrsPanda99:

Doing JM 30D Shred I saw results within the first week. I felt thinner, lighter and over all had way more energy.

By the second week my clothes fit looser and a few people mentioned how I looked slender.

By the end of the third week I had lost a few pounds, but nothing spectacular, but it looked as though I’d lost way more.

Unfortunately, I never made it past the first month because I get bored & I’m a mess – will use any excuse not to workout. E.g. “ohhh…It’s that time of the month. I’ll work out again next week!”…Never happens. Once I take a break from the routine, it’s impossible to get back on it.

@Mimoza:  I’m thinking of trying that for our upcoming trip– I have exactly 1 month and have been going to the gym but I HATE working out at a gym!

I believe the saying is 6 weeks for yourself to start seeing results, 8 weeks for close friends and family, and 12 weeks for everyone else.

It took a while. I’ve lost about 30 lbs since March and I just started seeing the results for myself a month or so ago. Everyone around me said they saw the difference asap, but it took me a long time. We’re our own worst critics. Keep it up! You’ll see it soon!

@Mrs_Amanda:  Really??? I love working out at the gym…but it has to be empty, and cozy, and not smelly. 😛 Needless to say, I need my own private gym..that I can’t afford lol.

Rambling, sorry! I think it does wonders for a short period of time. I love(d) it because it’s easy enough to do every day (though not the most exciting work out), and it’s not something I dread doing. Like, I tried Insanity, and it almost brought me to tears just thinking about doing it. With this, it’s like “Ok. I’ve wasted 20 minutes doing worse things. I can do this!”…and before I know it, it’s over. And I feel great.

Also, keep in mind that it depends where you’re coming from! I call it easy because it’s not too challenging for me, but I push myself harder than what the girls on the screen do – and then it gets to me. So it’s all a matter of how you use it.

In a month, I lost 10 pounds with that thing without changing my diet. I really need to lose 20 to be at my ideal weight…so for I definitely think it’s worth it.
