I didn’t start using it until I legally changed it.  Even now, my user name on most websites is my maiden name.  It doesn’t bother me.

When I got married the first time, I filed for my name change with the state (SSN, DL, Car Registration, Bills…etc.) after we came back from our honeymoon. I had everything filled out a week prior to the wedding.  A lot of stuff, in my state, you can do online.  I changed bank info, added onto his bank account, work (paycheck, email) after I came back from the honeymoon also. We left the day after the wedding.

I didn’t start using my married name until we were married.

The day we get married is the day I’m going to take his name. We’re going on our honeymoon immediately after, so it’ll take a week to get the ball rolling and a month or four to get everything legally switched, but I’m going to change it, might as well start on day one.

I plan to start using it as soon as we’re married. Obviously it won’t legally be changed until we get back from the honeymoon and I can get all that stuff done…which I’m not looking forward to doing lol

When it was legally changed and all my cc were changed. Probably a month after the wedding. But bc PayPal is a bitch, 3 yrs later my maiden name remains with them. I got a pkg yesterday and my husband was like WHY does that say xxxxxx?! Haha.

The morning after the wedding I went to social security to get my name changed. From there I went to the DMV to get a new driver’s license. So I guess I started using it as soon as it became legal.

A few weeks before the wedding I started changing my name on e-mails, forums and what not, but I didn’t start using it legally until I changed it or calling myself by my new last name until after we were married.

The day that we got married was the day I started using his name. It took about two weeks after the honeymoon before I had time to go the social security office and everything. but they were pretty quick and within a month of being married my name was officially changed over on my ss card, my drivers license, and bank card as well as at Work. I still have to do my passport, but apparently that’s quite the endeavor and I’m not looking forward to it.

I plan on starting to use my new name as soon as we’re married. I have already created an email address with that name, although I’m not using it quite yet, and I have the paperwork to change some other things right away. I start a new job on Tuesday (3 months before the wedding) and my new boss asked me if I want to use my maiden name or my married name. I considered using my new name right away to make thing easier but I’m going to keep using my maiden name until we are offically married.
