For my nausea medication, I was able to taper it (though I am still taking it). I was supposed to take it 3x/day as needed, and I started skipping doses when i felt really well. Sometimes I had to take them anyway, sometimes I didn't. I'm probably about once a day now (early afternoon), but I feel like if I were to stop it completely, I would vomit everywhere.
P.s. (I'm 13w)
I took both Zofran and Phenergan as needed throughout first trimester, and mostly weaned off both of them by about 15 or 16 weeks, though there were occasions when I'd break out a pill if I felt awful. Then I started getting sick again in the 3rd trimester (around 34 weeks or so) and was back on the Zofran fairly regularly for a few weeks then too.
I take Zofran, my my Doc only gave my 30 days worth. Since I am still feeling icky once in awhile, I only take it as a last resort to make it last longer. If you feel okay most days, you could probably start skipping doses, too.
I didn't get to stop until 16-17 weeks. Oh, man it's awful just thinking about it. Hang in there!
I was all prepared to jump in this thread and contribute when I realized it was for pregnant people. I take at least 10 doses a week.
I still take it as needed in the second trimester. Sometimes I can go about 2 weeks without taking it.
I'm at 15 weeks now and probably still take it 3x a week on average, more if I'm traveling for work. Its still the only way to truly guarantee I won't be throwing up on any given day ;)

I just hit the 10 week mark, and dont think I am ready to stop taking Zofran yet. I still vomit on various occasions. I was however wondering, if I am on Zofran and feel pretty decent everyday how will I know when I can stop taking it? Im really hoping and praying its 12 weeks for me... but it seems like more and more ladies with severe nausea went well past the 12 weeks. :(
