Like two days after we found out. :) My parents and my in-laws were the very first to know; we just couldn't wait to tell them!
Not pregnant yet, but I don't think I could wait for too long after telling my husband! Maybe minutes? haha
we told both parents within less than a week...then didn't tell anyone else until our first full dr apptmt
Well, my situation with my family is probably different than most, but I waited until her birthday and told her then. That was about 4.5 months into things.
not pregnant, but we're planning on telling parents and siblings right after the doctor confirms it. everyone else has to wait.
That will hopefully be my plan, artbee. I think my FI would be the first, then parents after we go to the dr, then tell everyone else after 3 months.
I was almost 6 weeks along and had known for a week and a half. I just happened to be seeing my mom that weekend and wanted to tell her in person!
I was almost 12 weeks before we told anyone in hubby's family.
My mom was the first person to even know that i might be! My FI was at work so I didnt want to call him and tell him i took a test (i couldnt wait any longer) so my mom came to the dr with me to get a blood test done!!
I told my Mom sometime during the first trimester. I had a small scare at nearly 7 weeks so i am glad I told her earlier. It was nice to have the support.
We told everyone right away. We were very excited (and our parents were pretty anxious for us to get pregnant right away anyway, the vultures...)
Depends...i'd hold off if i knew i'd be able to drive down there and see her in person and tell her. We'll probably plan the trip, so we'll see. But, knowing my mom, she'll have her spidey senses going off. Her first and only grandbabies will come from me, so I want to make it special for her. I know she had a hard time when I got married, realizing my brother, who passed, never would go through that. And if i just tell her and hang up, she'll cry. If i'm there, I think she'll be better. I see us telling our parents right away and probably his sister. And probably his grandparents (he's real close with them and they helped raised him). So.
I would love to be able to tell her as soon as I find out (and after I tell the hubs), but I honestly can't trust her or my sisters to keep their mouths shut. I had several friends that told everyone right away, and then lost the baby and had to go through that sadness. So, as much as I would love to tell my mom right away, I'm probably just going to have to wait until we get the "it's ok to tell people" from the doc.

How long did you wait to tell your mom you were pregnant?
