when do I go for a fitting & alterations???

Did the place you bought your dress at give you a timeline?  Depends on how much altering you need.  If you have a lot, I would take it 3 months in advance of your wedding.  If not much, then I’d say 1-2 months before.

I will be going in August – 3 months prior.

I begin alterations August 31st, although there aren’t major things that need to be altered. I’d take it somewhere, talk to a professional and get their opinion!

@heavenslight:  I don’t see anything wrong with getting quotes, but I would definitely find a professional.

@heavenslight:  Take your dress somewhere now (or as soon as you can), and they’ll tell you when to start alterations.
