Give him a call on the phone.  I’ve found some vendors to be ridiculously bad at answering emails.

I’d start looking for someone else.  I expect for vendors to at least pretend they want my business.  I am not ok with needing to hound someone to give them money.

If they are unresponsive when you are trying to give them $$ what are they going to be like when they’ve already got it…

If you really like the DJ and don’t think you could find a better vendor, I’d try giving a call and seeing what the deal is. I would be nice, but firm and let them know your concerns about how you were interested in booking but the lack of communication has worried you and you’re considering going elsewhere. Then you can see if they are interested in your business or are just blasé about the whole thing.

I think you have to try to contact them by phone right away. If they don’t get back to you within 3 days then I would find a diffrent vendor, but at leats give them the benefit of a doubt by calling rather than e-mail first.

@s2bmrscook:  How different were the prices in the initial vendor? If it was a do-able cost, I’d go with the one you really liked at the bridal expo. DJs are important, so maybe you could bring your quote to the bridal expo DJ and see if they’d match it?
