Am I getting a good deal on these? I will be paying $65 for 100 personalized magnets that area little bit bigger than a business card. They will have our wedding colors and our picture on them. The envelopes and a personal message card is included with each magnet. Is this price high or not? My mom swears I can find cheaper but I really dont think she has ever even looked! Also, the wedding is October 9, 2010. When do I send out my save the dates???

Those prices seem pretty reasonable to me, but I really don’t know the standard prices for magnets these days. 🙁
But to answer your other question, most couples send out save-the-dates at the six month mark, longer if you’re planning on having a lot of out-of-town guests or a destination wedding!

I would agree with Canary on the timing – 6 months is normal…unless it’s a destination wedding or mainly out-of-town guests…then 9 months to 12 months seems to be the norm.

I think I want to send them 9 months out. This gives my guests enough time to plan. We’re doing a semi-destination ’cause we’re an hour and half away from our hometown.

You know, up until two days ago we didn’t even consider doing save-the-dates…but then two other friends announced their wedding and sent out save the dates via e-mail! Yeesh!!! So my fiance and I have decided to step up our game and send some out (to out-of-town relatives) this week!
