I only got one in the mail.
It seems people don't buy them until like the week before unless for the shower.
My shower is this Saturday and I've noticed that more people have been purchasing items off of our registry this past week...
Usually the day before the wedding... we're very last minute; but I rarely think about other people's weddings until it's time to prepare for it (think about what to wear, hair, etc.)
Yeah, you'll probabaly get some off there a few days before any showers or the wedding. = )
I got some right after the shower invitations went out but I started getting more within a week or 2 of our wedding invitations going out. Alot of people also brought them to the reception and we still received them up until a couple months after the wedding ;)
lol I think it's the little kid in me, but when I read posts like this all I can think is "presents, Presents, PRESENTS!!!"
I've gotten one present in the mail so far, from someone who can't make it to the shower. I don't think we'll get any actual wedding presents until later.
I have been peeking at the registry (bad, I know!) and there's a few things purchased, but not a ton.

We received gifts about 2-3 months before the wedding when the invites went out.
I had my wedding shower and alot of people bought of my Target and Bed Bath and Beyoned registries. After that I haven't seen any activity on my registries and I'm only about nine days away from our wedding. So I'm going to say probably the weekend, week or day of your wedding to be honest! I bought a friends wedding gift the day of the wedding! I know I'm bad but I promise I'm not always like that.

I was wondering this as well. We just sent our invites last week. Yesterday someone purchased something off our registry which was fun to see. Of course now I'm peeking a lot out of curiosity, but so far no more action. I'm curious to see when the majority of gifts are purchased. I always buy gifts right away (because I like to have a good selection) but I realize most guests wait longer.
Oh, I know exactly how you feel! I peek at my registeries all the time (terrible I know), but it's like knowing what Christmas gifts you're getting beforehand. Almost as exciting as getting an RSVP in the mail.
I sent my invites out a couple weeks ago, but still 0 purchased. I guess my guests are prone to buy closer to the wedding.
we got our first present in the mail right after invitations went out and have been receiving them since then though mostly from people who aren't able to attend the wedding. One day we came home to a 6' stack of boxes, not exactly safe.
I'm also a registry peeker!
not earlier than the invite or when they start making arrangments for travel etc. we had a bunch of people just buy online and ship it to us. its easiest since lots of people are from out of town. I havent had any showers yet but only 10 days to go and a lot of gifts have been bought!

I am very excited about the possible gifts that we'll get. I am just curious to know when people usually start to purchase these? How early did you start getting them in the mail?
