i was just wondering when we would register for our Wedding Shower? Our wedding is in June 2014, and my Bridesmaids have let me know we are going away for my 1st bachlorette party othe last week of March. I don’t know when our shower is… But I’m just wondering if we should register for our shower soon??

@Nickig_4: I would wait awhile to register. The earlier you register, the higher the chances that things you choose will be discontinued or be seasonal items. So you pick out a bunch of stuff, and then by the time people go to get it for you, its changed to something else–this happens with all kinds of regular stuff, like Target changes the blender model, and not just on beach towels or something. As long as you register by the time invitations go out for an event, you should be fine.

My FI and I are getting married the day after you! And we’ve already created a registry at BB&B. it’s small right now but we wanted to be able to add to it multiple times and it’ll be handy for things like birthdays and Christmas. We’ll wait awhile before we register at any other stores:) I say do it when you have some spare time…it’s one of the fun parts of wedding planning!

@Nickig_4: You can start to register 7-8 months before the wedding. I say this because I actually called the stores where I registered and asked when should I start adding things to my registry and thats the range they told me. They made a good point, they said you don’t want to register too early because some items may be discontinued or not available for whatever reason! And thats exactly what happened to me! So wait a little while!
But you will have fun registering! You go to the store and get that price gun and just start clicking and adding LoL!

@Nickig_4: i would register too early. We registered 7 months before the wedding. I asked this question to BBB and Macy’s and they both said about 7 months before the wedding because if you register too early, you risk some items not being available later due to being discontinued or they are not available.
