Except for jack ‘o lanterns.  I carve mine only a day or two before Halloween and store it in the fridge so it doesn’t go soft and moldy.  I live in Florida so it only takes a day or two for that!

Haha, not going to lie, I was really confused by the OP! Then I saw her location…

And October 1st!

@AB Bride:  For Halloween itself I set up a mini haunted house.  For the month of October I decorate the front of my house with orange/purple lights, spider webs, and a giant blowup pumpkin with a purple hatted kitty on top.

I don’t. I wish I could skip it altogether and bring out my xmas stuff!

For the past 2 years I put them up about 2 weeks before Halloween, but it always ends up raining & I have to re-do the spider webs.

So I am actually putting the lights up this weekend, and will do the spiderwebs either the day before Halloween or that Sun/Mon before.

Um, sounds like some of you ladies need to share photos of your awesome Halloween decor this year! Don’t worry, you can wait till Nov 1 though. 🙂

@AB Bride:  Yup, Halloween decor. Not just fall themed stuff. We wait to carve pumpkins until it’s closer so they don’t rot.

Oct 1st. That’s when the ghosts and bats come out. And they go down Nov 1st. Then we put up generic fall stuff until Dec 1st when we switch it out for xmas stuff. 🙂

@AB Bride:  Yeah! I don’t decorate much for Halloween (partially because we’re in an apartment, not a house) but I’d love to see what others do!

I’ll start a thread asking for photos on Nov 1. 🙂
