I was thinking about it in bed (it’s where I think about most things) and it occurred to me that I’d be having breakfast at 8am and then not eating till about 4pm on the big day – what are other you other girls doing to keep the wolf from the door??

Have a bridesmaid carry arround some granola bars in case you start getting really hungry or dizzy.
Maybe order a tray of sanwhiches and fresh fruit so you can snack while you are and your girls are getting ready. If there are extras you can snack one a little later too.

Since I got ready at the hotel, we ordered lunch from room service and had it delivered to the room. We had to eat really fast, though, as we were having our hair and makeup done between bites!

I ate a normal meal for lunch. If I didn’t, I would pass out. A granola bar is not a meal! Try to eat something with a little protein in it.

@MrsAsB: I would pass out if all I had for lunch was a granola bar! I meant it as more of a “just in case” snack later in the day. That is why I suggested the sandwhiches and fruit trays 🙂

My bridesmaids went out to get sandwiches for all of us while getting hair/makeup done, and we also had trail mix and drinks while we got ready at the church. Like MissAsB, I really didn’t want to pass out! Plus, you’ll be able to enjoy it so much more if you’re not dying for it to be dinner time!

I had a quick bowl of cereal in the morning, brought a sandwich deli tray to the venue when we all met up at noon to set up for the reception and ceremony and get ready, then dinner at 6pm at the reception.
The deli tray has been a lifesaver at all of our family weddings since we are usually too busy and pressed for time to go out and get something. I didn’t want to feel faint of have a headache on such an important day!

We had sandwiches and potato salad and chips for lunch. We’ve always swung into Subway or something like that for the other weddings I’ve been in.
You need food and so do your bridesmaids!!!!! Please eat!
I actually threw bags of cracker mixes and jellie beans and bottled water into the girls’ totes to bring around the day of. Everybody needed a pick me up in the afternoon

I am just saying- I am going to have lots of food- even at the Church. Wi people don’t like to be hungry, and around here food is celebration/ reward. So, I will eat a big breakfast- protein and fiber, and then probably a snack before the ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, I will have an assortment of ice water, iced tea, bottled non-alc. drinks like that, and several food platers- meat, cheese, cookies, for people to fuel up for the big night. Then, when they get to the reception venue I’ll have more food, and then a huge dinner.
I recommend trying to squeeze in lots of food for people as well as yourself, no one wants to go hungry, pass out, or get too drunk to fast!
