Random poll because it popped into my head.
Do you wet your toothbrush before you put on toothpaste or after? Maybe you do both or you don’t wet it at all. I have to say, the feel is slightly different depending on what method you use. I want to know what you guys do.
I guess I’m wasteful & don’t care about water conservation because I do both. FI wets his toothbrush before.

I believe I wet it before and after… If not after, then definitely before. I’ve never really put much thought into it. I always brush a long time too, like making sure I’ve used all the toothpaste I put on… And always rinse my entire toothbrush really well after. lol
I don’t know what DH does, but I do know that he’s a lot quicker and rougher when he brushes his teeth, and he doesn’t rinse his toothbrush handle well after, it grosses me out. And he brushes really hard so his toothbrushes wear out really fast, like splayed bristles and such. It can’t be good.

I grab the toothbrush, put toothpaste on it, and then wet it.
Interesting question haha.

@wandering_gypsy: Yeah, I brush a for a long time too. I’m really meticulous about it. I can’t stand when a toothbrush doesn’t get rinsed properly after. The gunk is so gross! FI is rough like that too. I keep telling him it’s not good for him to brush that vigorously, but he does what he wants. Whenever we brush our teeth at the same time, he tries to brush for as long as I do. Otherwise, he’s very quick about the whole process. We’re both avid mouthwash and flossers.

I wet mine before AND after. My husband doesn’t wet his at all and I think that is gross! Dry toothepaste on a dry toothbrush??

Before and after. Just do, no thought goes into it.

It looks like I’m not the only water waster on the Bee. I don’t feel as bad about doing both now. I do turn the water off when I don’t need it though. I can’t stand for water to be running for no reason. I also brush in circles. I learned that from Even Stevens years ago, and it stuck.

After toothpaste. It’s too dry otherwise.

@canarydiamond: +1, that’s what I do too. I’ve never noticed what my husband does. I will have to ask him, lol.

I live in the Great Lakes State. Water conservation is foriegn to us. I wet my toothbrush before and after I apply toothpaste, and leave the water running while I brush my teeth.
I also love cheese.

Before, I never realized others did it differently!

I used to do before and after but I noticed that my DH did it after so I tried that and it stuck…such a weird question but I love it! Lol
