Hey ladies. I am curious…when do you work out? Before work, lunch break, after work, just the weekends? and why.
I am really struggling with incorporating exercise into my new routine. I try to get up before work but I am just too tired and i want to stay in bed (no matter how early I go to bed). After work I am anxious to start dinner and eat dinner because I dont want to eat dinner late and then go to bed. I dont want to work out after dinner because I just ate plus that messes with your sleeping habbits. I am just curious when everyone else works out.
Feel free to comment! Thanks!

I was convinced that I was going to go to the gym every day at 5 AM but I just couldn’t do it. I don’t go right after work because I hate the crowds so I wait until an hour after I’ve eaten dinner and go at 7:30. It hasn’t messed with my sleeping habits at all

I seem to more motivated to work out at night than I am during the day. Right now I am only using my Wii fit until the weather picks up. Once it does, J and I go on bike rides and walk down to the bay. Roller blade as well. 🙂

I can’t work out in the morning. Its a struggle to get up at 6, I just cant go any earlier.
So I go right after work. I bring my clothes with me so I have no excuse to go home and get distracted. It took a few weeks to get used to the routine, but now I love it. Whats helped has been planning easy and quick meals for the week day. I also cook extra on the weekends and freeze it for us.

On the weekdays I run and lift weights right after work. FI usually makes dinner or I eat something that is relatively quick to prepare. If I wait until after I eat I usually don’t feel as great or run as long, although when I do run after dinner I haven’t noticed it messing up my sleep. On the weekends I might run in the morning, just depends on our plans for the day.

I am SO not a morning person, so waking up early is not even a possibility for me.
I work out right after I put my daughter to bed … so around 8.
I do zumba and g-ball.

I just got back from the gym actually, and just got out of the shower (it’s about 9:30am my time). I like to go before work two days a week–the hardest part is seriously just getting out of bed. I have a cup of coffee before I go, which helps me to wake up. I usually run 3 miles on Tues and Thurs, and then I’ll go Saturday at around 5:30pm to take a spin class. That works for me because I usually go out Saturday night, so going to the gym helps pump me up for that, and I would be showering anyway (one of the reasons I avoid the gym on other days is because I’m SO lazy about showering, lol).

I work out immediately after work. I simply cannot make myself get out of bed a single minute before I have to start working (I work from home).
Working from home does make it easy to go to the gym. I’ve been cooped up in the house all day long so Im ready to get out! I usually lift and do some sort of cardio whether it’s walking, jogging, elliptical or stairmill.
As for dinner…i usually stop at the market and grab a pack of sushi or a salad on the way home from the gym. Unfortunately something’s gotta give and between my health and making dinner, my FI is happy to eat take out!

I go to the gym right after work (so about 5:30/6pm and work out for 45 minutes). Then usually I’ll make pretty quick dinners so I’ll be eating by 7:30. There have been a few times that I’ll put something in the oven to cook while I’m at the gym and that usually works out pretty well so dinner isn’t quite so late. I hate eating a big meal and then working out though so that’s why I go before dinner. There are crowds, but usually at about 5/5:30 it isn’t so bad. It may be like that everywhere?

I much prefer to workout in the morning, which is strange because I am NOT a morning person. It’s just so much easier to get it over with and then I have don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the day. It also gives me a lot of energy all day and I don’t get quite as sore and achy because my muscles are moving and stretching out all day. If I wait until after work I’ll just put it off until I can tell myself “well now it’s too late!” And if I do workout at night, I wake up sooo stiff in the morning I can barely move! (I swear I have the body of an 80 year old!)
I should mention though, that I don’t have to be in to work until 9am. So that gives me a little extra time in the morning. 🙂

I am not a morning person and thought there was no way I could get up early to workout. Well I was wrong. There is no other time for me to workout and I’m not giving up my TV shows to workout at night. Therefore I get up at 4:55am to workout for an hour.
I’m currently doing the Brazil Butt Lift workout series from Beachbody. I’ve been doing it for 2 months and have seen great results. 2 more months of it until the wedding. I’ve previously done P90X with great upper body results, not so great lower body results, hence why I’m doing BBL.

I don’t like morning workouts because they leave me feeling HONGRY all day, so I eat more.
I run, swim (poorly), take cardio kickboxing class and bike. On weekdays I go right after work. If I change as soon as I get home or pack my gym bag and go straight from work, I’m more likely to do it. If I sit down, it’s game over for me.

My husband and I have gotten into the routine of working out right when we get home. 3 days on 1 day off.
When I get home the first thing I do is change into my workout clothes. In between sets I’ll throw laundry in, start dinner prep, etc.
I also go to Pilates once a week during lunch.
I think when it gets warmer out my husband might start running in the morning as well. He has dedication like that, not me! hehe.
