Do you count them as a plus 1 on the invitation? And do they get a chair at the reception? I’m talking babies who aren’t walking yet. Would I say “we are reserving 3 seats in your honour” assuming 1 is for the baby? How did you guys do it?

We said “and family” on the invite for those with babies, and included them in the we are reserving x seats. However at the wedding itself we did not reserve a chair for children 1 or younger at the reception. For the escort cards we just wrote mr. and mrs. so and so and baby so and so. For children 2 and older we did reserve seats for them and ordered kid’s meals.

We only had one baby and a few under 3’s but we asked the Moms if they needed a chair/booster seat/high chair for the children.

Perfect, that’s all I needed to know! I just wasn’t sure if parents would be pissed if they had to put their newborns (3ish months old) on the floor or something. Once I get back all the RSVP cards, I will see if we can give them a seat at the table for the babies, and check about booster seats!
