Woot first vote!
@TurtleDoves: I voted for 12 DPO as that seems to be the day that most women seem to get a positive test. I think any time before 10DPO it gets pretty iffy and you might get a false negative.
Good luck!!!!
I think 12DPO will give you the most accurate results honestly! I know that it's hard to wait but I really think it's your best bet.
@Kemma: & @Running Elley: Gosh you guys, you know I was counting on you to tell me 7DPO! I can never have my way! ;)
@TurtleDoves: I got a positive OPK on the 21, and was thinking I'd wait till Feb 7 to test, thinking that I should wait ACTUALLY two weeks after probable ovulation before testing. If you the poll says it's anything lower than 10 dpo, I'll be bringing a pee stick to work tomorrow!
ETA: Now that I see the poll results, I was NOT the one who voted 10dpo - just for clarification :P
@TurtleDoves: I'm playing the middle man and going 10+ !! For your sanity, of course. :)
@SapphireSun: well, I do have like a jillion tests, Lord knows I don't mind POAS:)
@jaguar: & @bunny: thanks for tryin ;) , but looks like 10 other people think I should test on 12DPO, dangit!
Any experience with early bfp? Or super late ones?
My Mayo Clinic pregnancy book says to wait until you are a week late - that's 21 DPO. Who can wait that long??? I got my BFP at 15 DPO. I was trying to hold out as long as possible, because I was in Cuba and only had one pregnancy test that I took with me (not easily avail in Cuba). So if it were neg, I would have had to wait until we got home to take another one.
@TurtleDoves: One of my BFPs was on 12DPO and the other one wasn't until 17DPO! I can't lie, I start testing on 10DPO but I KNOW that it's silly to do. I just obviously don't care about being ridiculous ;) I always suggest other people wait until 12 though because that's when I legitimately think tests become accurate :)
If I back-calculate (I wasn't doing any charting/OPK etc the cycle I actually got pregnant), I got my BFP at 13 DPO (but it is a rough estimate based on the due date calculated at my first ultrasound at 7 weeks). I got a BFN at 8 DPO. That cycle I only tested because I needed to for fertility testing though. I wouldn't start testing before 12DPO unless you really like peeing on sticks even if they will come up negative.
@blondy: 21dpo is a killer. They must be jok'n me.
@Running Elley: Omgosh I never realized that...major proprs for testing until 17dpo:)
@Ms Mini: You're right. I know....I need to wait....ahhhh,fun,fun.

I never ovulated until my last cycle (and current) so I don't have a usual LP length. My cycles are all over the place so I don't have a usual cycle length either.
Because I ovulated last cycle, I was able to calculate an LP OF 7 DAYS (bad, bad, baaad) but this cycle I'm using progesterone cream & B6 to lengthen that. So, how am I supposed to test after my "missed period" when I don't have an expected date for my period?
And just for fun: A POLL
*keep in mind when voting that I'm super eager to test & I'll be using an early detection test
Thanks ladies:) I usually am able to make decisions on my own, not requiring a poll but the 'Bee is my new decision maker =)
