I’m not able to make any major wedding purchases until the summer/fall, but want to purchase little things along the way. I’ve seen some good sales for jewelry that I really like and don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of buying it.
The jewelry I’m looking at is pretty much your typical rhodium plated, swarowski crystal and rhinestones, etc. I buy cheap jewelry all the time — Forever 21, Target, etc. and know that it can easily turn…and I definitely don’t want that to happen to my bridal jewelry.
So…how close to the wedding did you buy your bridal jewelry? Should I hold off until closer to the wedding? Did you have any issues with your jewelry turning? Am I being super paranoid? lol

I purchased mine when I picked up my dress…. I had my dress on already so I just headed for the jewelry section & starting putting stuff on. lol
I don’t think I’d be able to decided without the dress on (but I’m not jewelry inclined lol)

@runsyellowlites: Cool! Yea, I bought my dress online and it’s sitting in my closet, so I can refer to it for what jewelry to go with it.

I am getting married in about 2 1/2 months and am still looking for the perfect bridal jewelry and hair clips. I haven’t purchased anything yet, but don’t want to spend a lot of money.

@DCSquared: 7 months! Okay! Great, now I know I’m not crazy for wanting to buy mine now 😛
@ossmith: Check out Ebay. I’m planning on getting my hair clip and my bracelet for super cheap from there. PM if you want a link.
@Sassygrn: Awesome! You’ll have to show us your completed ensemble!

My Mum bought mine as a 30th birthday present, which was 6 months prior to our wedding.

I am wearing jewelry that I purchased when we first talked about getting married; about 5 years ago. I ended up severely breaking my ankle and couldn’t walk for just over a year, so we decided not to get married at that time. I have never worn this jewelry, so it will be something old and something new at the same time.

I got mine in the midst of after Christmas/New Years sales. You can find some great deals on the kind of stuff you are looking for at department stores around that time!

I bought mine after I bought my dress… which is around 8 months before the wedding. You still have more than 1 year, you can wait a bit… let say around Christmas?

I bought mine about 2.5 years before my wedding…just didn’t know at the time that would end up being my wedding jewelry, lol. It wasn’t until I started trying on dresses that I put two and two together and realized, hey, you know what would look good with this…
