I don't like it. BMs should all wear the same color and have the same style. : (1 votes)

I’m doing a Dessy dress for my BM’s and my Maid/Matron of Honor will have a different color than the BM’s. With the Dessy dresses they can also change their dress to a style they like but they all flow with each other.

My vote would be if you want to mix it up, do the same dress in the different colors (if that’s even possible…)

This is such a personal taste issue.  Some people (like myself) love the mismatched bridesmaid look, to varying degrees – and others like when bridesmaids match 100% from head to toe.

Personally, I like when either the color/length/fabric is the same but each Bridesmaid or Best Man has a different style, OR same/very similar styles in various shades in the same color family.  I think too much difference and no one looks tied together, but I love when there is a little variance in each maid’s look.

I think burnt orange and burgundy would look very pretty together.  I would have each Bridesmaid or Best Man at least in the same fabric/length to tie it together, though, and probably also the same style.  I’m picturing something by Dessy/After Six because there are SO many color options.  You could even have each girl in a subtley varying shade of persimmon or burgundy, instead of just two colors?  What about something like this, just as an example:
