This can be for any relationship: friendships, family, significant other….
I’m curious what you do when you feel like the effort is one-sided.
From time to time, in various relationships, I feel like I’m doing all the work. I know in my head that this is NOT necessarily true, but sometimes it feels that way.
In those times, depending on who it is, I’ll either address it directly or pull back from the relationship.
With DH: I’ll usually address it – meaning, I’ll tell him I’m feeling neglected, or I need him to do “X”
With friends and family: I notice that I’ll usually just pull back on the relationship and focus on other things or people
Just curious how you guys deal/cope with relationships when you feel like you are the one making all the effort.
