We had plans to start looking and book our honeymoon soon since we have the money, however, looking for new jobs and such is stopping us and making it very hard to know if one of us will be able to take a time off for the honeymoon.
So for a Sept honeymoon, when it is too late to book?

If it makes you feel any better, my fiance and I are going on our honeymoon in September and we just booked it this week! Where are you planning to go??

I think up until about a month before but it depends on where you are looking at going. You could also look at taking a later honeymoon. We are going to Turks and Caicos, but since we are getting married in the summer, we would rather take a tropical honeymoon when it 10 degrees outside.

@msrdsx82: We were thinking to go to either Mexico or Hawaii..or any place with nice beaches and tropical atmoshphere, outside of U.S tho.

We’re going in July, and just booked it last week. Hotels and resorts dont really change their prices much, do they? The only thing I would think you’d need to watch is airfare. I usually just keep and eye on it, then if I catch it at what I know is a good price, just go for it. If you’re flexible with where you’re going, and a bit flexible on the exact dates, you definitly have more time to book and still get good deals.

Late minute specials are avaliable up until last minute.

We just booked our April honeymoon this week, so no, you’re not too late!

We’re in the same position – job hunting and not sure if it was going to fit in the budget. Just booked it last night for April 25th and got a pretty good deal. They are always running specials (early booking, summer specials, last minute deals) so I think you’ll be fine.

@Ka393: We haven’t booked yet for our June honeymoon. I’m a slacker.
