And then you write a long response trying to help the poster and find that the thread has been deleted….

mimivac :  That’s the worst! When everyone puts all this time and effort into genuinely trying to help the poster and then she deletes the thread because she doesn’t like what she’s being told.

I hate when I just wrote such a long, nice reply where I carefully selected my word choices as to not offend and press post only to find it has been deleted.

Sends me on an investigation where I look up their old posts and try to understand why they are asking for help only to delete it.

tnwibride :  I guess it’s people who either want to be validated in their choices, or want to have others feel empathy for their plight, but who are unable/unwilling to consider other points of view or courses of action.

tnwibride :

I think it really depends. I’ll give some OP’s slack. Some of the people on the bee can be very harsh, and when someone is already going through a hard time it’s not really a great feeling to post looking for advice and comfort and get reemed out by more than more person. I personally hate when you read a post and can tell it’s fabricated or completley off track from where it started.

I guess people delete their threads because other people are rude jerks sometimes?

I love when there are multiple follow-up questions asked, and OP is no where to be seen and respond. Why post if you don’t actually want to read peoples responses???

I agree with this!!! Of course some moderator is going to jump in here and close this post because they will say you are “starting drama”…

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread as it violates our TOS regarding baiting. http://www.weddingbee.com/terms-of-use/

v. Please refrain from baiting. Baiting is the act of encouraging responses or replies in order to cause dissent or discord; to instigate participation in a negative way. Anytime you call attention to drama you’re amplifying it and actively participating in it, which is a violation of these policies.”
