I know I can’t be the only one who gets frustrated at some of the posts on here! Why ask for advice and then completely ignore everything anyone says? I read some posts and just think “Oh my gosh why isn’t this person getting it”, and then I get annoyed at myself for reading pages and pages of responses and the OP just lashing out without any real thoughtfulness. Why do I do this to myself? I’m sure some of you ladies feel the same way!

And then you write a long response trying to help the poster and find that the thread has been deleted….

mimivac : That’s the worst! When everyone puts all this time and effort into genuinely trying to help the poster and then she deletes the thread because she doesn’t like what she’s being told.

Ummmm, time for the Serenity Prayer?

I hate when I just wrote such a long, nice reply where I carefully selected my word choices as to not offend and press post only to find it has been deleted.
Sends me on an investigation where I look up their old posts and try to understand why they are asking for help only to delete it.

tnwibride : I guess it’s people who either want to be validated in their choices, or want to have others feel empathy for their plight, but who are unable/unwilling to consider other points of view or courses of action.

Yes to all of this! The investigator part is so true haha, it’s like being sucked down a worm hole and then wondering why the hell you’re spending your time doing it! My personal favorite is when the OP only replies to the snarky comments, completely ignores the more nicely worded comments that’s are being helpful, and then complains that nobody is trying to give real advice. Just why???

Just tired of dealing with the bull****. Thanks!

I think it really depends. I’ll give some OP’s slack. Some of the people on the bee can be very harsh, and when someone is already going through a hard time it’s not really a great feeling to post looking for advice and comfort and get reemed out by more than more person. I personally hate when you read a post and can tell it’s fabricated or completley off track from where it started.
I guess people delete their threads because other people are rude jerks sometimes?

mimivac : Ugh YES!! This has literally happened to me THREE TIMES in the last 2 days. So frustrating!

When people specifically create an account here to ask generic google-able questions….

I love when there are multiple follow-up questions asked, and OP is no where to be seen and respond. Why post if you don’t actually want to read peoples responses???
I agree with this!!! Of course some moderator is going to jump in here and close this post because they will say you are “starting drama”…
Post # 14
nowthisistaken : that’s why I responded quickly haha. I know it’ll get closed soon.

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread as it violates our TOS regarding baiting. http://www.weddingbee.com/terms-of-use/
