Another option would be to make the punch last minute and do not freeze it so you don’t have these issues. Mixing punch right before you plan to serve it is alot less work than thawing it, especially since most recipes are just a couple or more ingredients.

Also, if you make alcoholic punch – keep in mind that it ferments. If you make your punch with any sort of fruit juice, it will taste stronger if you make it over a week ahead of time!
