@isabelle_86:  Take it from me, my bridesmaids dragged their feet (a little) and I thought we were pushing the limit on ording the dresses…so give them 5 months…(3 months is really pushing it).

I wanted my girls to order from Netbride.com but they take longer then 12 week or longer….so give them time.

3-4 months.  Bridesmaids dresses don’t take that long to get in.  Some stores (Davids Bridal I’m looking at you) will say at least 6 months, but that’s because they work on commission/meet quota so they want to make the sale.

Mine took 3.5 months to come in.  So I would start maybe 6 months out.  I personally wouldn’t go as early as Sept/Oct this year…because you are more likely to change your mind or wish you had gone a different route with that much time still remaining.  Just my opinion.

3-5 months before hand

5 months before hand to start looking

ordered by 3 months just to be on the safe side.

my dresses were in in 2 months.

id say order by march? that gives 3 full months to get dresses in, and altered. but it depends on where they are ordered from as well. as how long they recomend.

it depends a on the store and designer, but i think 6 months out is a good time. my wedding was in september and my girls ordered their dresses 6 months before (in march) and they arrived in late june, so it took about 3.5 months for the dresses to arrive.

@isabelle_86:  my Bm deadline is Aug. 31st for their money, that gives the dress time to come in and them time for alterations. Then we can do shoes and jewelry in Jan, that way they want have to stress about getting everything at once or that Xmas have just passed lol.

I wanted my girls to order their dresses by the end of January/beginning of February so they were here in time for alterations, etc.
I’m a bridesmaid in my cousin’s wedding in May, and she has given us a deadline of October.

We’re going in early January for my June ’14 wedding. I don’t think it’s ever too early to start looking for styles and narrow down a few you want them to try on.

Five months out for looking, and three months out at the very latest for ordering — you will need to allow enough time for the dresses to come in, plus have them altered.
