I saved the lingerie for the honeymoon. The night of the wedding, I let him undress me (quite time-consuming)....
As for where to get something vintage/pin-upy , I would suggest www.pinupgirlclothing.com
We're not really having a honeymoon since we can't afford it; our ceremony is a courthouse one and even my dress for the reception is something I can slip out of on my own.
I love pinupgirlclothing...I'll have to check it out. I'm looking at the Fredericks site right now.
Yea, sometimes Fredricks has pin-up inspired stuff. It isn't always the best quality though.
Ok, in that case, I would say to save the lingerie for the B&B.
Yeah, that's my other dilemma. I don't want to spend a ton but I don't want it to be really cheap-looking, either.
Here are two I'm looking at:
http://www.fredericks.com/Audrina_Chemise/45888,default,pd.html?cgid=li11#
http://www.fredericks.com/Parisian_Lace_Corset/51248,default,pd.html?cgid=li15#
Also, is there a garter belt that won't make extremely pear-shaped women look like they have uber-muffin-top? I tried on a few and was discouraged by how pudgy they made me look...
Um, both nights? ;)
Bluefly has a lot of cute stuff for great prices--I like Betsey Johnson for chemises and Mary Greene and Cosabella for cute panty and camisole sets.
@sapphirebride: Oh, I'll have something nice for both nights. ;) I'm just wondering when to do the stuff that's a little more expensive/different than what I normally go for. Thanks for the link!
On a side note, does anyone know of thigh-high stockings that don't squish thighs at the top?
@Statutory Grape I have the same problem with stockings. I'm barely 5'1" and have thicker thighs. I bought a pair at Fredericks after the cashier was telling me how great they are. I'm glad I did! They fit perfect and don't make me feel like I'm about to put a run in them! haha
I would break it out for both nights! But then I do very much enjoy channelling my inner pin up! I tend to go for the push up lacy bra with matching brief/thong and hold up stockings with heels though - not corsets!
I have one corset but it's such a pain to put on that I rarely wear it. I would love to get two nice sets but I don't want to spend a ton of money on it...I'll keep looking. :)
As for thigh highs that don't squish--I'd recommend a garter belt. Very sexy and the nylons don't have to have anything squeezy on top to make them stay on.
@sapphirebride: I'm having a hard time finding stockings that don't have the elastic at the tops. :(

Should I buy a really awesome, sexy set that's not what I'd normally wear (probably a corset or something other than a bra/panty set) for the actual wedding night (after our Friday ceremony, though the ceremony will be at 10 AM) or the reception night (when we'll be in the bed and breakfast)?
Also, suggestions for cute, vintage-style lingerie? I want to channel my inner pinup, haha.
I will still buy a nice, practical set for our ceremony but am leaning toward the fancier stuff for the hotel night. FH thinks fancy sets are impractical and kind of dumb since they don't stay on for long, but then he used to date girls who thought sports bras counted as lingerie so he's never actually seen a woman in nice lingerie (other than the cute sets I have).
