I am due March 2, my sister asked when I want my baby shower-  what do you ladies think?

I'm so bad with this kind of stuff!

For my sister, she's due the second week in Sept. so we threw her shower the last weekend in July, but it's harder for me to plan with the holidays so close!

I'd say early February.... If you did it the 1st weekend or so that should be plenty of time =)

I say Mid-January but only as a safety buffer to give you more time to prepare.

When I hosted my friend's baby shower, it was about a month before she was due. Most recent showers I've attended have been about the month before as well.

@miss-spunkin: Another vote for early February.  People will probably enjoy the buffer to let things settle down after the holidays, if you have people traveling, that gives them time to have their finances equal out after spending all that holiday money!

Early January or even before. You are going to want to get everything in order before the baby comes. Your nesting will make you crazy lol. That way after the shower the stuff that you dont get, you have time to go shopping for and set everything up.

Also if you are due so early in March I would make sure that you have plenty of time before hand just in case the little one wants to meet you earlier than expected!

Ugh, my computer won't let me vote but I chose mid-late January.  I think it gives you plenty of time to sort through everything, return what you don't need, get what you realize you do need and get it all prepared before the baby.

If it helps due date twin, I think mine will be in early January.. the 7th or 14th.

Whenever 32wks is. I had mine at 32wks and I still had energy to organize things. I think after Christmas, people will still come because a lot of stuff will be on sale. I know I'd be glad to go to one after Christms, just FOR the sales. lol More things you can buy for the mom!

My FSIL was due this past Friday (still no baby) and we had her shower the last weekend of June. My friend is due at the end of October and her shower is right around a month before her due date. Most that I have attended have been 1-2 months before the baby is due.

I did mine at 33 weeks and I liked it then. I had a nice big bump for pictures, I didn't feel too awful b/c it was still early enough, and I had plenty of time to return duplicates, buy out the rest of the registry, and unpack everything to fix up the baby's room.

@AvantLaLettre: haha good to know! I just found out that my sister might be out-of-country for up to three weeks in January though, so that might be an issue. I think we'll have to do the last weekend in January or first weekend in February. I know the first weekend in february is cutting it close though, I would be 35 weeks! Depending on my sister's travel schedule, I think Late January will be best- the 21st or 28th.

@harmonyeee: That is good to keep in mind! haha thanks for the reminder, the lil' stinkers have minds of their own on when they want to come ;)

@MsMamaBear: Yeah - definitely a perk of being due after the holidays! great sales :) hopefully it will help with the more expensive items.

Early January or before, but I understand that could be difficult with the Holidays. My SIL had her baby shower in Mid October and she was due in Mid December....another friend whose wedding I'm invited to is having her baby shower at the end of AUgust and she's due at the beginning of December
