(Closed) When should I rest my muscles?

I think that if you’re sore you could probably take a day to rest. I’d use the day to do some kind of cardio instead. You can run or work out on the eliptical or the bike! The stair master is a really good workout too.

If you hurt = rest.  You have to give those puppies a day to repair themselves.  Three days and then a rest would be good.  I personally just go by my muscles- if I am sore, I skip a day.  Good luck! 

Every other day is probably best.

You shouldn’t work the same muscle groups two days in a row.

Maybe try lower body weights tonight.

And lots of stretching for your upper body.

I agree with most. You don’t necessarily need to take the day off. Just do the bike, jog, or walk, or eliptical on low resistance. You should keep alternating some days doing weights and the next just cardio.
