I have been getting conflicting information all over the internet about when I should send out my Save-The-Date Cards. I need to know when would be the proper time to do it.
My wedding is a destination wedding, btw. It will be on July 13, 2012, so not in the near future. However, I know that people need time to prepare for a destination event.

I’d say at least 6 months as a rule. Because its destination I asap since its less than a year away! Depending on how far away it is, people will need to be saving and planning etc 🙂

the knot and my wedding coordinator say a year in advance for DTW….give people time to save and work out scheduling…and the invites should go out at least 4-6 mts in advance so that you can give your venue an accurate count!
so….get on it girl! lol

From what I read std’s for destination weddings are a year in advanced and regular weddings 6 months.
