I would ask to do the tasting in June so that gives you more time to add the food choices to the invitations. That really shouldn’t be a problem. I would send my invites out 6-8 weeks before and set the deadline for the reply card for 3 weeks before so that gives you time to get them back and if needed, track people down.

Ha believe me, people are TERRIBLE about sending in reply cards, even if you make it as easy as possible so be prepared to have to compare the ones that RSVPed to your guest list and from there, start emailing and calling. Ok, just a little something I learned 🙂

I’d send out the invites 8 weeks before the wedding and ask for the responses to be in 3-4 weeks before your wedding.

I’m getting married a month later and I just got this stuff figured out. I would base it on when your venue needs your final head count. A lot of places only need it a week in advance, but since our venue requires three weeks’ notice on the final numbers, I’m going a little less traditional with my timing. I set a reply date of September 3, so about five weeks before the wedding, giving me two weeks to track down people who didn’t reply. I plan to mail them at the very end of July/first week of August, so about nine – ten weeks out.

The topic ‘When should I send them?’ is closed to new replies.
